Unethical Practices and Poor Customer Service
I tried to buy a "subscription" to UrthBox for my mom for Christmas back in November. When I went to check out, it was actually a gift card for up to 3 months worth of UrthBox snacks. It was shady and strange, but they claim to have gluten free options so I went with it.
When my mom used the gift card, they forced her to sign up for a longer subscription and even though she had canceled, ended up charging her. It was flagged as fraudulent by her financial institution, but today she let me know that the charge went through after she had been forced to get a new debit card.
Additionally, she had tried to contact them in February because of their inclusion of non-gluten free snacks in her shipment and no one ever responded.
This was the worst gift I could have given someone. If you have similar issues, report them to the Federal Trade Commission.
Edit in response to Urthbox’s auto-reply: I don’t have or want an account. It was a gift that has been an ongoing frustration for the recipient. Change your practices.

Shady Practices
I purchased a 3 month subscription as a gift. Then when my 3 months were up they charged me again. I did not agree to this. I asked for them to cancel and refund my money a few hours after the charge went through. They refused and said it was my fault. The website is very unfriendly and I am super frustrated. They haven’t sent any boxes but are insisting I pay for the next 3 months. Bad business

Urthbox's Customer Service is outstanding. I had issues, a question and a problem, and Eric from Urthbox's customer support was excellent. He resolved them both very quickly, with kindness and efficiency. Urthbox has a nice variety of new products to try. Some of them are better than others but each month has they send something that I like.
Outstanding Customer Service
The Customer Service at UrthBox is first class. I ordered my healthy Urthbox snacks and both Benjamin and Eric got back to me immediately and had my shipment expedited at no extra cost. I am looking forward to enjoying my snacks and rating the shipping and the actual taste of the food.

Extremely sleazy and lazy practices
Extremely sleazy and lazy practices. Would NOT suggest! I bought 3 months with 30% off and a free box as a gift. Since it doesn’t give you the option to pick a specific date to send as a gift I decided to just us the gift and put in my friends address. The gift is in form of a dollar amount and didn’t include the discount so it was charging me 30% more because how they have it set up. After emailing a generic email(the only way to get in contact) they did fix that issue. They also trick you into thinking in the promotion you get an additional box but it’s just a small bonus box with a few things in it. Also it’s taken 2 months for my friend to even receive their 1 box. On top of everything the only way to cancel is through email. The only positive is the the variety is good.

My customer service representative was…very support of the issue and stuck with it until it was resolved.
My customer service representative was great at resolving the issue. He understood what the problem was and kept communicating to me in a timely matter until it was fully resolved. Great customer service.
No complaints!
Received a response that was well before the expected time-frame. All of my concerns were addressed promptly, and I was given an explanation that made sense. I was also given the option to get a tracking number for my package, which I decided to do. My manager/representative was friendly, and remained positive throughout the entire experience, thank you!
Great customer service via email…
I accidentally paid for my box twice but the team at Urthbox fixed it up immediately.
I shipped the box to a friend - can’t wait to see what she thinks!
My error corrected quickly!
I forgot to cancel the automatic renewal prior to the renewal. After I saw the charge on my account, I contacted Urthbox, and Eric very quickly resolved it- the subscription was canceled, and credited immediately!
