We had the most incredible time in Peru, all thanks to Vamos Expeditions. From the smooth transportation to the stunning accommodations, every detail was perfectly handled. A huge shoutout to Annelies, who planned everything—there's no way we could have pulled off such an amazing trip without her. She knew what we wanted before we even did!

And I have to mention our guides, Marisol and Carolina - they were truly the best. Their local knowledge and passion for Peru made every experience feel special and authentic. They went above and beyond, and we know our trip wouldn’t have been the same without them. If you're thinking about visiting Peru, we can not recommend Vamos Expeditions enough!

I had always wanted to go to Peru and see the Inca sites. I also wanted a road trip holiday that add in Bolivia. Annelies and Vamos Expeditions planned an unique holiday for us. At covered all the key activities and sightseeing sites. The accommodation was great and in perfect locations. The guides that were arranged were fantastic, knowledgeable of the history and local culture, particularly Carolina in Lima and Fernando in Cusco.
The support provided by Carmen, at head office, was awesome. The was great having her there is help at a moment’s notice.
Vamos Expeditions provided a trip of a lifetime that ticked all the boxes and fulfilled my dreams. They provide a professional service who I would recommend them to anyone wanting to travel to Peru.

Wonderful and Amazing trip to Peru: I am a solo traveller and I can't speak Spanish. Vamos Expeditions helped us plan the most amazing trip to Peru! This was a special mother daughter trip for a total of 6 travelers- our daughters are ages 16, 16, and 10. We could not have asked for better planning and choices of authentic experiences and quality guides. Vamos helped us with our national flights, accommodations, trekking activities to Humantay lake, Rainbow mountain and short Inca Trail to Machu Picchu. They also arranged visits in the Sacred Valley, as well as authentic cultural activities such as visits to small mountainous local communities. Marisol was our guide for the tour of the vibrant city of Cusco and she was extremely cheerful and knowledgeable. Fernando accompanied us for the rest of the trip and we could not have asked for better company. He was pleasant, funny, energetic, knowledgeable and adaptable to all our needs! We had private transport and a safe driver for the entire trip. The cost of the tour was quite fair considering all that was included! The entire trip was perfectly organized and therefore stress free for us. I strongly recommend Vamos Expeditions and will use them again in the future!!!

I was approaching my 50th birthday and I wanted to usher in my 50s in a big way. Peru had always been on my bucket-list. An attempt in 2016 had to be canceled because of personal commitments. I was pondering between Peru and Iceland and I'm glad that I went with the former. Vamos was the first company to reach out and be engaged throughout our planning, whereas other tour operators were either too expensive or very sporadic in their responses. Annelies is great to work with and she helped us create a tour that was suited for what we wanted to see. She convinced us that a private tour would be the best way for a first-timer, and indeed (as we'd find out later) it did help spending that extra amount to have personal attention. Annelies picked some nice hotels to stay in and those in Lima, Cusco, and MP were very good, whereas the one in Nasca was decent. Vamos' guides, Monica in Lima and Nasca, and Washington, in Cusco, were very knowledgeable and personable and were very reliable, as were the drivers whom took us around. Washington's itinerary change to visit Moray and Maras Salt Mines in the north of Cusco, instead of the South Valley (which was closed due to tremors), was a wonderful change. Same with Monica, and her knowledge in some great sights and restaurants in Lima and Ica. Coming from a person whom only knew Peru from an Inca perspective, it was definitely eye-opening to learn about pre-Inca cultures. Thanks to our guides- with whom we still keep in touch- we had an eye-opening experience in a truly magical land,) and realized how much we have yet to see. We did miss Arequipa, Puno/Lake Titicaca, and the north and Amazonian parts. I'm sure that will be for another time.

We zijn net terug van een 3 weekse rondreis (onze huwelijksreis) in Peru met Vamos Expeditions en alles was tot in de puntjes geregeld: alle transporten, (cultuur & natuur) uitstappen, goed gelegen hotels, tips omtrent restaurants, begeleiding tijdens de 4 daagse Inca Trail hike, ... we waren volledig zonder zorgen! Wat een topreis, van het ene hoogtepunt naar het andere. De gidsen van Vamos Expeditions zijn allemaal toppers die goed Engels spreken en een heel fijn zijn in de omgang (in het bijzonder Javier tijdens de Inca Trail: topgast!). 100% reliable. Lost a ring in a hotel room in Cusco and it was delivered to the next hotel in Lima. Always on whatsapp to answer noob questions, fantastic guides, itinerary went smoothly as planned. Two thumbs up!

Vamos Expeditions set up the most wonderful tour of Peru with 4 in country flights and 5 hotels along with guides and unique experiences. They sent us a schedule ahead of time with names, times, and sights and we went by that schedule for two weeks. We were well taken care of. I would use them again and again.

There are not enough words of praise to describe how wonderfully well-served we were by Vamos Expeditions and their agent, Annelies.

The easy part was when Vamos designed the perfect privately guided trip to Machu Picchu for me and my wife, both of whom are not young and have travel constraints: in particular, not too early starts in the morning, not too long bus or van rides, flexible tours that allow for rests. Working with Vamos throughout the planning process was a pleasure.
The challenging part came when we were in Peru ready to embark to Machu Picchu when the trains stopped running because of demonstrations by Machu Picchu ticket agents. We kept hoping that the trains would start again before our scheduled flight back to the U.S. but that didn’t happen. So we postponed our flight home for four days while Annelies worked liked crazy to rearrange hotel stays, guided local tours, local flights and other arrangements to help us reschedule our Machu Picchu trip. And it worked!! The disruption was settled and we made it to Machu Picchu the day before we departed Peru.
All through the rearrangement process we did not feel we were working with a bureaucrat at a travel agency, but rather with a close friend who really cared about us. We spoke to her at all hours, long after the office was closed. She offered every option she could come up with to make our extra four days comfortable and rewarding. And I’m sure the arrangements she made were costing her extra money, which she never mentioned.
The only regret we have about Annelies is that she works only in Peru. We would gladly hire her for any future travel we might consider anywhere in the world.

Turning next to our personal tour guide, Marisol. As I mentioned, we’re not young people, so the many stairs, hills, and uneven terrains we needed to negotiate to see all there was to see were really challenging. Marisol was a genius at encouraging us not to shrink away from the challenges and give each a try while at the same time giving us plenty of time and space to rest and slow down to conserve energy and renew our spirits. Her enthusiasm explaining the history, importance, and cultural significance of what we were seeing made it feel that this was the first time she had ever taken anyone on these tours, while it was probably the hundredth. She carried our backpack (over our objection), used her connections with guards and rail conductors to get us the best seats and best views of everything, and, like Anneleis made us feel that we had a close friend showing us her favorite places. She went out of her way several times during our extended time in Cusco because of the rail disruption to ferry us around, show us alternate attractions and make us feel that the disruption to our original plans was not a disappointment, but, rather, a great stroke of luck. We just returned from a journey of a lifetime where my whole family climbed Machu Picchu and enjoyed the rich culture of Peru! The trip was seamless from day to day and we never had to worry about what to do next. The tour guides made every day easy and enjoyable and we felt well taken care of. Absolutely loved it!!! Would do it again. Highly recommend the Peruvian cooking class as well! My teenage boys loved it!

Het was een fantastische ervaring om met Vamos Expeditions op reis te gaan.
