Absolutely useless when trying to sort out the most simple of problems, and when I explain to the various members of staff, they fail to understand the basic concept of what I’m explaining. They always try to blame (and I mean blame) another party, in this instance the company that’s requesting the checks etc. Even when I’ve explained I have an email response from them (Verifile) they say they can’t find my name or indeed my email address.. which raises the question, how could they have responded to my registration without my email address! What this indicates, is a lack of accountability, and a glaring lack of ability to grasp the basic principles of what constitutes acceptable performance (Update 14/5/25) these clowns are still unable to grasp the basics of what constitutes good performance, nor do they care. We the tax payer fund this circus, and we should be treated better.

Customer service team much more helpful and knowledgeable than other companies I've used. Improvements are being introduced to the candidate portal, hoping this will further improve our candidate experience. MI reporting could be made more accessible. Hopeful that new changes will improve our experience further as a client.

Aways used and never had a problem. Waiting for DBS sent June, July, August and now two in October. Losing care staff before they have started!!!

Broke data protection rules by disclosing my maiden name to my employer when asking for a reference. I haven't been known by my maiden name since 2006 and I have only been employed by my employer for 2 months. The previous name was only meant to be for DBS purposes. Really disappointed that they gave my employer information that they were previously not party to and had no right to receive. This was a clear breach of data protection regulations. Thankfully the reference request was picked up by an honest member of staff who knew immediately that what Verifile did was wrong and not to disclose the information to anyone else.

Horrible and unprofessional experience, to be AVOIDED. In short, as a non-UK resident, a background check had to be performed. Due to massive delays in processing my papers, I started my new job with 13 days of delay. I provided required documents and these were processed with huge delay. My impression is that, their staff is completely overwhelmed and lacking knowledge, failing to provide information nor meaningful guidance. I will share honest feedback to their clients (which I hope they would consider). Such companies should not exist on the market.

Horrible experience with a lazy company. They were supposed to verify me starting early September 2021. I start with a new company early November 2021. Had no communication from them for any assistance until a few days before I started with the new company. Basically they have verified nothing. Couldn't verify company 1 asked for my help which I gave. Never said they had any issues verifying me with company 2, then I start with my new employer turns out they have done nothing. So I verified myself. Useless cowboy company AVOID. Should be reported as a Fleecing company.

Worst screening company I've ever seen. As I am spanish I had some spanish checks on my profile screening and one of the authorisations needed notary and apostille, but it happens I have the certificate myself, an easy online verificable certificate, but they would not take any official document from me, just wanted the authorisation, and took an awful time to let me know this. My start date has been pushed back more than 3 weeks now. I would excpect a company specialized in this to be able to verify those documents, as it has been the case on the past with more profesional companies

Awful experience. They are not worthy of any elaboration.

Horrific user experience. Besides the atrocious response time during the background check process, the system also tends to sporadically log users out of their application.

The worst company I have ever dealt with. They don't help you with enquiries as they get all their data from other companies and tell you to speak to them rather than them dealing with the issue.

Horrible user experience: the page keeps freezing when filling in the verification form, loading is slow, saving is slow. A huge pain.
