Over the last ten years or so I have belonged to four different wine clubs. Virgin Wines is the only one I kept. Wines are always excellent, reasonably priced and great selection.
Wow it is STILL happening
Wow it is STILL happening - BAD/AWFUL customer service ... Since early June (now end of July) this company continues to use the Covid crap as a reason that they cannot address the issues with my last shipment. They say they are working from home - well apparently, that isn't true - probably just sitting around collecting their unemployment and laughing at all of us suckers that didn't get what they ordered.

I used to love Virgin Wines; I have been a club member for quite some time. However, they have declined steadily and in the past year, I have had numerous difficulties with deliveries. They do not communicate when a delivery gets 'stuck'; and as of now, I have half of an order delivered, billed for full price, and months later still no sign of the rest of the order. I have emailed customer service twice, no responses, and I was on the phone waiting today for 45 minutes. After seeing the reviews on this site, I decided I was done. I cancelled our wine club membership and asked for a refund for the half order I have never received. We shall see. Such a shame, the wine is terrific, but you can't keep disappointing your customers; eventually they will leave.

I was a previous wine club member but…
I was a previous wine club member but then got pregnant and cancelled my membership. I was given a voucher and decided to try buying a case (not with the wine club). I placed my order on November 3rd with an estimated ship date of the next week. The order is supposedly still processing. I have since emailed twice asking for an update. I got the response that I would receive an email reply within 8 hours. I got one email response several days later that just stated the order was still being prepared in the warehouse and there is no updated information. Before receiving this highly unhelpful email I also called customer service. The woman I spoke with was very pleasant and assured me the hold up was 1 bottle of wine that was out of stock. I gladly agreed to switch it out for a similar bottle to keep the process going but don't believe that happened as it's been another week and still no updates or contact. I've already paid for the case. I would just like a refund now but am expecting this to be a battle. Horrible customer service.

Update: I finally did receive a refund after multiple attempts. Upgrading to 2 stars because at least they came thru in the end.-k Very disappointed by Virgin Wines USA club. Wish I would have seen the reviews prior to ordering. I don’t know what they changed over at the company as in the past I have had no issues. This time around I put an order in at the end of August and was given an initial ship date of a week and a half. Three promises of new ship dates and trying to flat out cancel the order and I still don’t have wine or my money back. Lots of apologies and statements of warehouse issues and that this ‘never happens’ with no solutions. Save yourself a lot of time and go elsewhere.

Very disappointing
I signed up for a Virgin Wines wine club for my wife and have been a member for a while now. Originally the service was great; The wines and rating system were nice. The included tasting notes and information on the wines were a nice touch. Unfortunately for the past 9 months or so the quality of service has declined dramatically.
I have had to cancel my more recent shipments as they have been delayed well over a month. Any time I reach out to customer service they tell me they are 'changing warehouses' and this is a 'one-off'. Apparently they don't understand what a 'one-off' is, nor do I see how a warehouse change could impact deliveries for the majority of a year. When I responded saying that I'm tired of receiving they same excuse, they responded basically calling me a liar saying my shipments have been delivered on time. Yeah, no kidding because I cancelled the delayed ones. Maybe a little more attention to detail next time "Brittini"?
Additionally they will sign you up and opt you in for cases you never agreed to or signed up for called 'Seasonal' or 'Holiday' cases. You won't know anything about it apparently unless you receive a flyer in the mail (didn't get) and then see a random charge on your account for a case you didn't ask for.
I would not recommend this wine service to anyone that values their time or energy. I typically don't leave bad reviews for companies unless the service I've received is what I would consider exceptionally bad. Take my word for it, or find out the hard way. The choice is yours, but don't say I didn't warn you. Currently searching for alternatives.

Have been a member since 2013. Over the past few years the quality of wine and the service have dropped severly. Twice this past year I had to contact them about deliveries only to find out the issue was on thier side. Customer service is the worst I have ever come accross odds are they will NOT handle your issue.By the way three months later I have yet to recieve my last delivery Warehoue Issue!

My last two orders were severely delayed due to a warehouse move... there is only so long you can continue to use the same excuse!..
After a two month wait for my last order despite numerous calls, it's still not delivered. I have cancelled the order and closed my account.

I have called and email over the last two months with no resolution!
I called and sent an email to close the account, but as at today it remains open. I have emailed the CEO directly to expedite the closure.

I have been VERY happy with Virgin wines - on the rare occasion that I haven’t liked a wine they’ve sent, I have always had my money refunded. The company works hard to correct any mistakes in a timely manner. I love their service and their wine!!
