I was having session with a therapist for some minor problems. When a health problems arose in my health unexpectedly and my mental health seriously deteriorated , the therapist decided to “pass my case to a colleague”. She didn’t carry out the session and no one else contacted me. It has been few weeks. Absolutely abominable level of care. Avoid !

Waited 45 minutes for them to answer phone. I had a dermatology query regarding my husbands treatment for a severe skin allergy he has had for a year. Terrible company used by the NHS.

Had a few sessions with this group. Said they would give me 5 sessions. After 5 sessions they agreed that more would be beneficial, then didn't hear from them for a month.

I got back in contact with them and then they said:
Its part of policy that a solid rationale must be provided in order for a client to receive further sessions and after reviewing your case, it was clear that progress was made and that more sessions wouldn’t be helpful or necessary.



I tried to explain my reasoning to management, but it seems that it has been agreed after consideration that longer-term open-ended therapy would be more effective and useful for you, to enable you to work through your issues with more time and in more depth."

No information on what to do next. It does indeed feel like somone mentioned before that I have been "fobbed off".

Disgusting and disgraceful service who do not give a damn about a person's mental health and try to fob you off rather than assist in helping you get the help you need!

Vita Health Group, who operate Notts Talking Therapies service. Three times I've tried to access this service that's promoted via my GP. Three times you've cancelled at the last minute. You don't do what you say you'll do (none of you do including the GPs you work with) You make promises you can't keep and have failed me completely. Between you and my GP practice I can honestly say I will never access a service again.
You'd think that being owned by Spire Healthcare who had a profit of over a thousand million last year, and 30% of that money coming from providing services to NHS patients you'd do a bit better. But then when you're that rich you can command what you want at the click of a pen and the opening of a cheque book!!!

Would give 0 if I can. I was told I'm eligible for further counselling and someone will be in touch in few months. It took them 15 months to contact me. Booked an appointment only to find out few hours before the start that it's cancelled again. Appalling service, may as well try anything else than this, don't waste your time.

Even though it took time to book my MRI as they needed to do due diligence about past surgery's they got me in quickly once they were happy I was completely safe. Easy to get to facility and once arrived I filled in the relevant form and 10 minutes after I was having my scan. All the staff were helpful and so nice. The report was sent within 48 hours. They discovered several problems with my knee thankfully. Excellent service

Racist, incompetent and aggressive staff that answer the phone. The staff do not know what they are doing inefficient and incapable of doing any menial tasks even when I am checking about an appointment. They are rude, abrupt and aggressive and I am still waiting for treatment. They treatmed me with utter disrespect even though I was unwell and suffering severe depression and racist towards my wife who was trying to help me. Worst experience I have had. They make your mental health worse not better

My experience was okay, and their communication was fine however…
This service is NOT for long term or chronic mental health sufferers. My therapist had little understanding of my symptoms and seemed very confused when my answers to her questions didn’t meet her criteria. She was also very set in diagnosing and treating one disorder and was again confused when I showed signs of multiple anxiety disorders acting upon each other.

This service might be useful for someone going through a bout of anxiety and who just needs a push to get in the right track but certainly isn’t a comprehensive enough treatment for a complex anxiety disorder.

If anyone had a similar experience to me, I found a private cbt and hypnotherapist who looks at the route of the problem as well as treating the current symptoms. Her in person treatment is far more sensitive so I highly recommend. Find one in your area, I know it can be expensive but just 4 sessions with her was much better than 2 months with Vita - for my specific need anyway

Terrible from start to being kicked off for becoming more anxious and depressed.

The initial consultation was conducted but someone who became annoyed with me when my feelings didn't fit in with the 1 to 10 questions he asked. I did score top marks though so that's Ok.. his attitude helped with the anxiety score.

Rude when I called to chase for some news on when I would be receiving help. Waited over a year for a response.

Was booked in for some CBT had about 8 sessions. My scores increased as life had become even more stressful so they said they wouldn't help me any more. Was told of get some information on other help providers but that never arrived.

CBT is useless. It does not get to the root cause of what causes the anxiety. If things were as easy as just go and do the things that make you anxious I would not be in this position. I do do the things that make me anxious and it doesn't make me and less so. If I don't do them I wouldn't eat. I would not leave the house. I wouldn't have a job.
No one wants to do anything to find out why you are anxious, what's going on in your brain or physically that makes you feel so bad. I'm not sure if anyone has told these supposed mental health professionals, but not every person, journey or problem is the same.

Being given a leaflet to read as homework is pointless. Writing down the things that make you anxious is pointless. Then when I tell you what makes me anxious you say it's not as bad. You may not think it's as bad but it's not a situation that I am comfortable with.

To be discharged as my symptoms worsened and my situation became more distressing with only a survey on what I thought of the service is disgusting. Suicidal people should not be treated like that.

Understanding service elsewhere

My employer uses this company and it's supposed to be a 24/7 service. 10% of counsellors who work for them are actually really good while the rest are useless as some are really uncomfortable talking about sensitive subjects or they let you talk and then reply "what do I think?" I might as well have spoken to a wall.

I have complained to vita health group a few times about their counsellors which go it goes no where. I really lost my temper in October 2023 as I spoke to them once which the counsellor was really good and then I spoke to them again a few days later to which the counsellor said as soon as I called that I can only use the service once a week for twenty minutes when it's supposed to be 24/7.

I put a complaint to my Employer who then asked a department to deal with it. It got investigated and GDPR got broken. To my understanding, counselling is a private and confidential service but it can be broken at any time if I cause harm to myself or someone else. This wasn't the case so GDPR was broken so be careful to everyone who wants to use Vita Health Group.

Disgusting presumably some tory chums gave this frankly, diabolical company. A lucrative Cushty contract to the tune of billions of taxpayer. Worse than nothing.

Terrible service, poor experience setting up initial call, poor options of support, didn’t respond to emails but sent mildly threatening emails to me about cancelling my case. Considering I wanted help for anxiety, they’ve actually made it much worse.

I would give zero if I could, about as much use as a chocolate teapot. I was referred to Vitaminds West Essex by my psych for CBT therapy. Their assessment was truly awful, a box ticking exercise with no assessment of the person and the issues they are facing. I didn't score high enough and was told to make the numbers better so I would fit the criteria. Following the assessment I was told that I could not be offered therapy because I was under the care of community psych and would have to be 'discharged' for them to do anything, plus they had to manipulate the box ticking exercise to get me fit!! Just an unbelievable way to treat some of the most vulnerable people in our society without any care or compassion. I will be going private because I can afford it but what about those with mental health issues who can't?? Vitaminds, you can rest assured I will be taking my case further.

Private treatment is great with Vita Bromley

Vita NHS Bromley… Be very Aware … as soon as you walk in for “Treatment”, you are told “we don’t give hands on treatment”! But your a Physiotherapist….which is what?

After my doctor referral via their NHS/ Vita web site, they only offer advice and “self help”!!! So a chat plus advice and email, that’s if you have a computer.
So after taking half a day off work and getting there…
We are paying for this NHS chat!
It’s a good earner for Vita tho!

And going online to book. These are clearly stumbling blocks from beginning to end. Still no problem paying privately and you do get…After a full diagnoses.. ”Hands On Treatment”.So what’s the difference?
Anyone could this job and my free advice … “Go on YouTube and save yourself and our NHS lots of time and our money”. Very poor Experience.
Anyone having these problems, put in a “official complaint”, Via your doctor to the local NHS to fully investigate.

Vita Health Group lost my counselling assessment report and copied and pasted another patient's mental health details onto the discharge letter to my gp. I asked them to correct this immediately but it took them almost 6 weeks to do so, and they only acted after I threatened to complain to the Information Commissioner. Awful company! Follow my complaint @cowsaremothers

I went to Royal London Hospital for my first appointment, but it was closed for staff training. To my disappointment, I spent so much on the travel and have requested time off.

Was referred to Vita Health via my company - never have I been so disappointed with an organisation as I have with Vita Health.

VH, only held one clinic (a dentist/physio office) on their books for a town of 200k people. The original administrator who I dealt with didn't bother to get back to me or refer me, and then someone else a few months later helped by agreeing to another clinic I was able to use, only to be told by the clinic "We don't deal with Vita Health anymore" which tells you everything you need to know about VitaHealth. No other clinics were offered to me, and I was told it was basically a 'take it or leave it' offer as I wouldn't be offered any other clinics outside of a 15 mile radius (of which again, there was only 1).

So annoyed with the service, am only going to use the 'chosen' clinic purely so that VH have to pay out, then I'll use a proper physio/specialist.

Useless . Do not expect anything from this organisation. Scammers at best.
