Sharing my experience for anyone considering a Vitro laser crystal engraving machine
After purchasing, I learned that the machine I received required working exclusively with their proprietary file format. In my case, this prevented me from using third-party modeling services and created a lock-in dynamic that I wasnât aware of beforehand.
I requested external price quotes from several sources and compared them with Vitroâs (wecreateyour) modeling costs. In those comparisons, the pricing I received through Vitro was noticeably higher (+30%). In addition, the modeling output I received didnât match the quality standards I saw from other providers in the market.
Looking back, I personally would have preferred a platform that allowed broader compatibility, more flexibility in sourcing modeling work, and more competitive pricing.
