My Barbour must be 20 years old. Not used and abused, but needed some TLC. What a fantastic job was done. Clean, re-wax and pocket repairs. Communication with Karl was first class, and all done in good time. I won’t hesitate to use again or recommend.

Really impressed with the whole process: my old jacket looks like new (well, almost!), and I am sure it will see me through torrential rain! Quality work from a family firm. Karl was extremely helpful and most helpful, often replying by return email, and he kept me informed about the progress of the work. THANK YOU!

Wax Jacket Cleaning kept me informed throughout the process when my items had arrived, when they were finished, and when they would arrive.
This is the second time I have used this company because I was the only dry one in a group of friends that were out in some bad weather, everyone else's waterproof leaked.

Excellent quality and fast turn around. I had a tight deadline for a number of alterations to my jacket. The team worked overtime to get it done in time for me.

Incredible attention to detail and robust fixes on tears, broken buttons and re-waxing. They brought a vintage Drizabone back to life! It is like having an old friend back. I can't recommend highly enough.

From the first contact, my emails were answered promptly, on receipt of the coats a photo was sent confirming arrival. The coats were returned looking almost like new (at 30 years old!) ready for another 30 years. The company was a pleasure to deal with.

Wow, what a find this company is. My dad bought a stockman coat nearly 30 years ago on a trip to Oz and has used it continuously since. After looking up ways to re-wax I came across this company and am so glad I did. His coat not only came back cleaned and waxed, it had been totally restored and looked incredible. Thank you so much for a brilliant job and in a rapid turnaround time.

Old, torn and tatty but expensive quilted wax jacket bought in Ambleside 36 years ago. Had been consigned to gardening duties for months. Restored to factory condition for less than 1/2 the cost of an equivalent quality new item (>£300). Very pleased with the outcome and very good communications with the company. 5 Star.

From posting my old Barbour out to the Wax Jacket Cleaning Company, for a clean an re wax, it was back to me within just over a week, looking as good as new.

At every age stage of the process, I was kept informed of what was going on and when my jacket would be returned to me.

It`s a very long time since I`ve had service anywhere as good as this.

I can`t recommend them highly enough and they should be the first stop for anyone with a wax jacket that needs attention.

My 3 Barbour jackets have been for washing, waxing, and repair with Karl and his team, and I can only give them my highest recommendations. I have been in continuous contact with Karl, who is both very friendly, service-minded, and quick to respond. Especially one of the jackets was in very poor condition, and without concealing the jackets' age or condition, I have now received 3 "new" jackets with all the history and patina, which I greatly value and am very much looking forward to using again.

I'm aware there are a few negative reviews for this company but from my own experience they have been fantastic. My 40 plus year old TT Leathers wax motorcycle jacket had spent many, many years gathering dust in the garage and being abused by wearing it for car repairs and some rough outdoor DIY jobs but seeing the cost of a new one or even 2nd hand vintage wax jacket I thought I'd give Wax Jacket Cleaning a chance of making it "wearable" again.
From my initial enquiry to the return of the jacket, Karl communicated promptly & politely and just over 2 weeks later my jacket has been deep cleaned, repaired and re-waxed in a very empathetic way - it looks great and I shall have no problem wearing this again now both on my bike and for casual wear, a brilliant service all round, thank you!

My 35 year old John Partridge coat was in a state of bad repair but I just didn’t want to throw it out. It was bought for me by my dear mum and when I wore it I always thought of her. I sent it to The Wax Jacket Cleaning Company who made it like new again. Their service is excellent. They keep you informed of what’s going on and returned the coat within a few weeks.
