Walter Drake, a pioneer in direct mail, began operations in 1947 in Colorado Springs with a single novel idea. In his one-room office, he created a character named “Tommy Turtle” and parents all over the country signed up for their children to receive personalized, upbeat pen pal letters and gifts from Tommy. In the beginning, he advertised in House Beautiful and Harper’s Bazaar magazines. After achieving success in this endeavor, Mr. Drake gradually added more and more products including stationery and address labels for writing letters to family and friends which became very popular during the 1950’s and 60’s as America became a more mobile society.

Didn't receive any items as of yet

Didn't receive any items as of yet. Can't understand why address labels are on backorder, I get they have to be printed for each individual. I hope they are going to be worth the wait.

Thank you for your review. I cannot apologize enough for the delay due to the backorder. There are times where we temporarily sell out of an item faster than anticipated. This is one of those instances and we truly apologize for the inconvenience. We are working on getting that stock in form the supplier and sometimes dates will change according to what they have updated with us. I am so sorry for the change in dates and understand the frustrations. Stay tuned as a shipping confirmation email will be sent when it has left our warehouse!

I still haven't received my order

I still haven't received my order, and I even paid extra for faster shipping. Update - I, again, contacted, the company after not receiving my order. I've been told my refund will be credited to my card.
