What can I say about my trip to Latvia ,my life changed for the better I couldn't walk had pains in my joints feeling exhausted every time I went out to walk felt everyone was looking and judging me so I made the decision to get weight loss surgery I done a lot of research and Weight loss Latvia ticked all the boxes for me I contacted Ilva and have a video chat with her and immediately I felt this is for me so I booked my surgery and had my Gastric bypass on the 12th of May this year I weight 107kg and today the 8th of July I weigh 82kg I have my life and confidence back thank you to the the amazing Surgeon a total gentleman and most of Ilva thank you from the bottom of my heart I just wish I had done this years ago

I highly recommend weight loss Latvia ilva is so helpful and pleasant to deal with she looked after me so well, the whole process from start to finish was excellent the hospital , hospital staff and especially the surgeon were great I had no complications in hospital or at home and 11 weeks later ilva is still checking up on me my only regret is that I didn't have the surgery 10 years ago but its never to late choose weight loss Latvia and you won't regret it either .

I recently had a bypass surgery with Weight Loss Latvia and can’t recommend them highly enough. These great people have made a real difference to my life. I fought with unusual weight and diet problems from age 40.
I recovered very well after my gastric sleeve surgery, which was performed by Dr. Olegs. Ilva is an angel who is so organised in every way. I could always contact her after I returned home.
I returned to my pre-age 40 weight in 3.5 months, and have lost unwelcome inches from my torso. I now have to take clothes in instead of having to enlarge them!
Vanity aside, I recommend Weight Loss Latvia, and gastric sleeves, for amelioration of arthritis, liver health and reduction of dangerous, cancer-loving deep fat around the organs. I approached WLL without bothering with a GP, so good instincts and patient independence do pay off! The Irish health system recommends waiting for this operation once you reach 20 stone, by which time a person could die; this is a very progressive approach to health indeed!

After coming out of a very difficult relationship, I turned to food for comfort and my weight increased from my usual 80kg to 145kg. With a prosthetic hip and worsening mobility, I knew I needed help and that I couldn’t continue that way.

From the very first contact in early 2024, Ilva was exceptional. She introduced me to the HSE Cross-Border Scheme, explained everything clearly, and guided me step by step through the paperwork. The price remained consistent from 2024 to 2025 — there were no hidden surprises. She was always available to answer my questions and reassure me. She wasn’t just coordinating logistics — she was a steady, reassuring presence throughout the entire journey.

Everything was arranged seamlessly — airport transfers, hotel, taxis, and even ensuring my friends who travelled with me were comfortable. I travelled on May 5th, which is a public holiday in Latvia (Restoration of Independence Day), yet everything was organised perfectly and I felt completely supported.

The next morning, I completed my pre-operative procedures and by the afternoon I was in surgery. After the operation, I was monitored in ICU and then transferred back to my ward once stable. The hospital experience was excellent. The doctors and nurses were incredibly kind and professional. Even where English wasn’t perfect, they ensured I understood everything. I never once felt unsafe or neglected. The medical team also assisted with prescriptions and aftercare instructions before discharge.

Ilva visited daily and continued checking in even after I returned home. She even gave me a bracelet before I left — a meaningful gesture that I still cherish.

The results have been life-changing. In six months, I have gone from 145kg to 101kg (and that includes the weight of my braids!). I have moved from wearing size 22/XXL to size 18/L, and I now comfortably fit into some size 16 clothes. The pain I used to experience has disappeared. My mobility has improved significantly. I feel lighter, stronger, and more confident.

As follow up, Ilva continues to follow up, offering gym advice and nutritional guidance. That level of aftercare speaks volumes.

Ilva Urbanoviča truly made everything easy — there was absolutely no stress regarding accommodation, exams, or organization.
