Wickes - Brighton レビュー 

We went with Wickes due to the largely good reviews, and because they seemed cheaper than others. Our experience has made us wish we went with a different supplier. We thought they would oversee the whole project, with a Wickes team being in charge, however, what actually happens is that they assign contractors not employed by Wickes and in our case, split the kitchen and bathroom into two separate contractors with different start dates.
The delivery service was very poor. We thought the kitchen and bathroom would arrive as entire entities, however, we received dribs and drabs of deliveries which we were expected to wait in for over a period of weeks. Some delivery drivers carried the items to our flat door on the first floor, but others left them for us to carry heavy items upstairs.
We experienced difficulties with the fitting and when we asked Wickes to follow this up, they told us to take this up with the individual contractors rather than them taking any responsibility for resolving the issues. We were assigned a Wickes Aftercare person for each job. Every issue we approached them with, they deflected and advised us to follow this up ourselves with either the contractor or the designer.
The biggest problem seems to be that the service is not ‘joined up’ and when things go wrong, nobody takes responsibility. It is all very disjointed.
A job which was supposed to take up to two weeks, ended up taking nearly four months to be completed due to outstanding issues and lack of availability of contractors to finish these.
The price we were initially quoted seemed very reasonable however we were not made aware that the contractors would add on substantial fees for what they considered additional work.
We have given up trying to get our front door keys back from one of the contractors.
Overall our experience was very negative, confusing, and stressful, and we would advise against using Wickes for anything other than very basic work.

It was a pleasure to meet Sam and he was very friendly and helpful. Definitely five stars.

Excellent service from initial order and design, from Lee Tucker at Brighton, to delivery and final installation.
Our kitchen installer, 'Clemilson ' was very professional and clean and tidy and very punctual during the fit, including his electrician, gas and plastering contractors. He and his team kept us well informed of everything during the whole process.
We would highly recommend for any future works.

The fitting and quality of the products that were used was very poor. I got two year warranty but when I called them to sort something out they said it was my fault that it happened. The workmanship was not great. I had to change the silicone after less than two years. The plumber said that the silicone Wickes used was very cheap. Do not use this company, two year warranty does not mean anything.

They responded to my review on Trustpilot to pretend that they were concerned about my experience. But they never followed up. It is all act to impress potential customers.

Sam came to our house to do measurements at our property he was very helpful and friendly and he talked us through everything and answered all our questions nothing was to much problem.

I was in your Hove branch last week , one of your members of staff was verbally bullying another member of staff. The person in question is Dean who was swearing at Jackie I did phone up on the day in question when this happened Thank you. Ian Lovejoy

Absolutely excellent. I am doing the bathroom and Dean was really helpful in finding the tiles so I could see them - knew exactly what I was talking about; having ordered them and deciding instead on a home delivery, Jackie and Naranda were also immensely helpful - Jackie helping me unload 18 boxes of tiles from the car and push a very heavy trolley back and Natanda in refunding then reordering them to my address. What some people may have found bothersome, they didn’t and were so focused on me getting what I needed with the least stress. Efficiency, helpfulness and knowledge of staff at Brighton Wickes first rate. How shops should be!

Designer: Great experience dealing with Sam (occasionally Rebecca too)! Sam got the design and quotes out lightning fast and was happy to deal with all my change requests. Rebecca happy to deal with me while Sam was out. Sam and Rebecca seem to go the extra mile without being asked so management should recognise that!

Installer: (Clemison) Clem and his son (who should be named!) did a great job with our install. Lindsay happy to help with any queries. Friendly bunch and knew what they were doing and did a great job, we have no problems with the install. Put up with some backseat installing too :D

Overall an excellent experience and we’ve ended up with a lovely kitchen. We would highly recommend anyone named above for dealing with kitchen design and install.

Only negative thing I’d say is that our case was passed to the after sales team (early) which apparently was not standard. This caused a fair amount of friction(some contention) between customer+designer+installer and the after sales team. This was not enough to remove a star, but yeah hoping it doesn’t happen for our bathroom install.

Sam helped us chose colours based on pictures we had seen and suggested ideas ( and pointed us towards paint deals ) as we were decorating the whole house - extremely helpful

Jackie was also smashing - friendly and helpful service

Went to buy sand at Brighton Wickes. Mike, the guy at the till, asked did I have a trade account. I said no, been trying for years but the system didn't seem to accept my application. Mike took me through the process and got me signed up. Very friendly, helpful member of staff. Has increased my Wickes loyalty...

What a pleasure working with Sam Newnham in designing my new kitchen. He is brilliant and great to deal with face to face and good on email too. A real asset to your company. Highly recommend Sam for all your kitchen needs.

Sam Newnham was very helpful with ideas and suggestions He took on board the changes I wanted to make. He was very pleasant and accommodating.

Appalling service. The consultant took no interest whatsoever in helping me design let alone choose a kitchen. I was pretty much left to my own devices and told to go and look down an aisle that contained flat packed boxes and a few random samples. Asked relatively no questions , did the design when I asked him to and literally handed me a random quote and that was it. No follow up or close of sale. Complete waste of my time

We met with Sam Newnham out kitchen consultant who gave us a great design for a kitchen but unfortunately we had to change our plans due to building regulations and Sam was fantastic in redesigning our kitchen for us without any fuss. He has been very helpful and kept us updated about our process. I can not recommend Sam highly enough and he has gone above and beyond for my wife and I and deserves recognition. Many thanks Sam

I went to get some information about cooker hood. I been waiting for 20 minutes, just been told they don't know about it. I'm curious about it, why company sale it. Really bad attitude..I would like put 0 Star on ......

Really happy with how my first meeting with Hayley Dempster went; Hayley is a design consultant in Wickes Brighton and she had plenty of suggestions and ideas on how best to revamp my bathroom and kitchen. Looking forward to reviewing her concepts and proposals over the next few weeks.

My husband and I engaged Wickes to design and install a new kitchen and whilst I don’t have a bad word to say about the installer, we have been left with a totally unacceptable colour mismatch in a very visible area of the kitchen. Several emails and calls went ignored until I finally heard back from someone who said this had been escalated to the Complaints team. We have today heard back that they don’t intend to do anything further to assist with the problem. It’s hugely disappointing and frankly not what I expected given the price paid. I would urge potential customers to be very cautious about working with Wickes. I certainly would not use them again.

Really good experience with Sam at Hove - had prepped some ideas ahead, very easy going approach bringing experience but also listening to our ideas. My wife was worried we’d get a hard sell but it was v relaxed and easy going - more likely to get us to take things forward. Thanks Sam.
