Wickes - Letchworth レビュー 

I had an issue with some mixed paint and, despite there being a large element of ‘user error’, I had the paint swapped out all very reasonably and efficiently. Jordan on the front desk could not have been more pleasant and helpful - thank you.

My husband and I recently visited the Letchworth store to purchase wall tiles, and we had the absolute pleasure of being helped by Ciaran. From the moment we walked in, he went above and beyond to make the process smooth and stress-free.

Ciaran was incredibly knowledgeable about the products, patiently guiding us through all the options and making sure we found exactly what we needed. He took the time to understand our style, our budget, and even helped us think through the practical details we hadn’t considered. Nothing was too much trouble — he genuinely cared about helping us make the right choice.

It’s rare to meet someone who combines expertise, patience, and genuine friendliness so effortlessly. Ciaran’s “extra mile” service turned what could have been an overwhelming shopping trip into an enjoyable experience. We left feeling confident in our purchase and very grateful for his help.

Very helpful staff, a lad named Charlie helped us find the products we needed and carried them to the till for us. Charlie and his manager (Kieran I believe) then sorted us out with a discount for a damaged product.

In recent weeks we have been using Wickes in Letchworth. Getting to know our way around the store now. On two occasions James has served us and gave us excellent service on our paint mixing. We shall be using Wickes for all our decorating in the future and will be over again soon

I was after some Dulux paint. Original was mixed in 2014. I had the code and Claran went out of his way to track it down for me.

I had great help from Kenzie a few days ago at the Letchworth store, she helped me bring and put 3 heavy bags of gravel into my car. We both had a giggle too at the huge cat tree tower I already had in my boot! Thank you again for your help Kenzie..

Cairan was a great help today, I needed some wood for a project I was doing, and he gave me all the information I needed, as well as some unexpected ones, I didnt realise I needed more than I planned for including the fixings.

Today I've had exceptional service from Lily at the Letchworth store. She was helpful and a pleasant young lady. The staff at Stevenage store were also very helpful and happy to phone Letchworth store to make sure my item was stock before travelling over there. So had a very pleasant shopping experience in both stores today.

Visited the Letchworth store recently and received great advice from Gerald on various DIY jobs and the tools I would need. Always great service 💯

Zach was very helpful, mixing our paint testers and offering advice. Very polite and efficient, genuinely friendly guy! The testers were much cheaper than in B&Q too!

I never do this - but am confused by my experience today at Letchworth Wickes. I originally added a very positive review because the lady who mixed the paints was so helpful to my young daughter and me. However, when I opened the paint today it did not match the sample/colour I asked for. To be clear, I asked for a colour from the Dulux colour chart that I had tested the day before with a purchased sample - not a bespoke colour. I had tested my purchased sample on the wall and was happy with the colour - but the pot I received absolutely did not match when I mixed it and painted it on the wall. Not especially bothered by the situation, I headed back to Wickes thinking it was a mistake - only to be told I’m stuck with it. I am left very confused as the paint I received did not match the sample, but the manager said there are no returns on mixed paint. In fact, he agreed several times that the colour I received didn’t match the tester or the colour on the chart - but didn’t offer a solution…. Just lots of long stares at the paint. It was particularly frustrating as the paint was for my young daughter’s room (who was there) and was very disappointed. The manager speculated it was because my sample was a bathroom paint? Don’t quite understand this as don’t think the colour would vary so wildly between bathroom and normal matte for walls? I was told to come back with a painted sample of the colour on a piece of paper (again, I am not trying to colour match - just get a colour on the already established chart) and they could try to mix it for me, but no refund. Felt like this was offered as a favour? The manager just kept saying that mixed paint can’t be refunded, but I am now left with a paint that does not remotely match what I asked for. I am going to return again in the morning and hopefully speak to another person. I am happy to submit photos of all of this. I hate complaining, and never normally would - but the cheerful message about my positive review prompted me to respond.

Recently had a Wickes Kitchen designed by Mark Hopkins, originally worked from architect plans for an extension that was ongoing. Came out to measure as soon as he could. We place the order and had it fitted by Graham Wallace could not be more happy with the finished Project. Mark was exceptional from start to finish and created an incredible space for me and my wife

Martin came round in September 2022 to measure up for my new kitchen. He really listened to what I wanted and his design was just perfect from the word go. It was fitted by Graham in January 2024 and I simply love it. So many clever little design gizmos that make such a difference. 100% recommended.

Lily at the letchworth branch was very helpful in loading our vehicle for us. She was extremely polite and a model employee.

Found someone to help easily. Found me the products I needed quickly and even got paint made up while I waited. Was clear about how long it would take (not long) and no wait time at all to pay.

This afternoon I met the amazing Gerald from the Letchworth store. I wanted 3 of their bark bags located outside the front of the store but was unable to lift them. Gerald was approaching and I asked if there was anyone inside able to assist me, grab a trolley he asked and proceeded to help me, he then pushed trolley inside opened up a till to serve me. Then he helped to load them into my car. I subsequently learned that he was on his way home when I initially enquired about help. He went above and beyond considering he had finished for the day. He was extremely helpful and I wish him all the luck in the world for his family
