Hazel one of the design consultants listened to our desires for our new kitchen. The design came out better than I could have hoped for. The kitchen was installed before Christmas and it was an amazing centrepiece for our Christmas and able to show it off to our family and friends

Purchased a new blower heater yesterday 1/12 2025 got it home plugged it in and the thermostat is not working...Why whatever we buy never works and has to be returned...

Helpful friendly staff with Mark ,in charge of the building supplies department ,resolving a problem I had with one of the products without any drama , leaving me feeling I had been listened to and dealt with appropriately. Have been using the store regularly since moving to the area and will continue to do so.

Only went there for a can of fence paint but came out with 42 bags of topsoil instead, it was an absolute bargain. The fella working by the entrance (Marky B) couldn’t have been more helpful, going out of his way to put them through the till and load them into my car with me.

We have now had our kitchen installed for almost 5 months so wanted to now do a review.
We are first time buyers on a budget and also ‘DIYers’. My partner has a construction background so we are not complete amateurs.
After speaking to the kitchen team in maldon and having them come and measure we purchased a kitchen from their budget lifestyle range to keep costs down. With the actual kitchen units ect we are happy with them, they look smart and you wouldn’t necessarily know they are the cheaper range, that being said they do dink very easily, we have sandpaper and touch up colour paint at the ready as we have needed a few touch ups that just happen naturally whilst using a kitchen.

The reason for the 3 stars is solely based on my overall experience. I trusted the kitchen design team to work out what i needed, we spoke through lots of different options and worked out whats best for my small space. But we have been left with way too many plinths and cornice, which we paid for, and have been told the computer works out measurements so thats not possible, but there is genuinely no where for it to go, and unfortunately i have just been completely ignored. We had something else un delivered with the kitchen and that took 4 months to be refunded too. Every email i sent regarding the missing item i also asked about the return of materials that are just going to go to waste if we keep them, and i just get completely ignored on the subject. Its feels very much out of sight out of mind for them. I even offered to drop them off to the store and i dont want the refund just so they dont get wasted, and still nothing.

I now need other items for the kitchen (edging tape) but i dont even want to contact them as just feel they cant be bothered.
Overall i like my kitchen, but dissatisfied with customer service definitely.

Had a great experience in Maldon branch. Edith visited our property and designed a kitchen. We then visited the store twice to finalise the plans. Our surveyor is booked in and a start date has been arranged. Edith has been fantastic and really made us believe in the Wickes product. Thank you very much

Brought on click and collect and all I needed was available. Mark served me and was really helpful .

I was looking for some sand and cement for a project to lay a patio, and your colleague, Mark Berwick, at the Maldon store, was very helpful with advice on hw to prepare the mortar. I was feeling a bit uncertain since I hadn’t laid a patio before, and his advice was very welcome. He also helped me load the sand and cement onto a trolley.

Served by mark who was very helpful and actually saved us some money. Very much appreciated.

Items I need always in stock, good quality, well priced. Staff excellent, especially Shirley. I've used their delivery service also. Ordered goods at 2pm and delivered 10am following day. Will certainly continue you to use.

Edith at Wickes - Maldon helped me to design my new kitchen. She was very patient when I couldn’t make my mind up and suggested ideas. Edith customer service was amazing helping me to refund items due to having had to change design. Would really recommended Edith if you’re looking to refit your kitchen .

Making an appointment to see Edith for a new bathroom from Wickes in Maldon was really easy. She contacted us telephonically to confirm. Her manner at all times was professional and friendly. She listened to our needs/concerns and supported us throughout the many choices! A fantastic experience. Thank you, Edith; you were amazing. Can’t wait for our new bathroom. 😃
