We ordered a kitchen from Wickes - for us it was pretty pricey (around the £5,000 range)

Three things went wrong.
1. They failed to design the kitchen with enough units. Meaning we had to last minute go and buy an extra unit.

2. The renders we approved failed to highlight or show the irregular gap between one side of the extractor fan and the units. When you're spending the best part of 5k - this should have been highlighted in the renders.

3. They added unnecessary items to the order that weren't needed, and then rejected to provide a refund for the items they decided to add to the order - as it was over 30 days since we ordered and fitted the kitchen.

I'm generally quite relaxed with minor issues. But this is Wickes and we paid £5k for a kitchen. At £5k I expect everything to be flawless. And the fact they won't refund items that weren't needed is disgusting behaviour for such a big company.

I actually work in refurbing properties. I ordered a Selco Kitchen for a fifth of the price and they even offered a refund on some unnecessary items 1 whole year after I actually bought the kitchen.

Companies need to learn how to treat customers. I for one have ordered my last Wickes Kitchen.

All we wanted was a refund on the unopened and undamaged items that they decided we needed. It seems Wickes doesn't seem to have any people with a brain that understands common sense.

We had a kitchen designed by Julie Johnson from the Oldham store and were delighted with what was provided. Julie was very thorough, gave detailed advice whilst taking on board what was important to us and took time to show us all of the various options available. At the conclusion of the meeting we had total confidence in the design provided as all alternatives had been considered.

Simi will never get tired of any customer. I gave her a good recommendation.

A very knowledgeable and personable agent. Julie was so helpful.
Great ideas but listened to our needs. Offered solutions and alternatives.
There was no rush and lots of opportunities to discuss and try different ideas.

Our experience of what passes for customer service at Wickes was awful. Save yourself and DO NOT PLACE AN ORDER! You may strike lucky and get decent staff on your team, but our experience has been really, really poor and I wouldn't wish it on anyone.

Great store, staff very friendly Joanne on checkout was cheery and welcoming and also very helpful.
Easy to navigate round the store with plenty of signs to direct you where you need to go.
Lighting is great and makes the place nice and bright.
Prices are reasonable and has everything you need.

My fiance and I had our kitchen fitted and supplied through Julie at Wickes 3 years ago. I went into the store 3 weeks ago at 6 pm to see Julie to discuss designing a new bathroom. I had just missed her. I rang up the following day 3 weeks ago asking for Julie who was unavailable and left my phone number to discuss a new bathroom. I was told Julie would call me back.24 hours later we had not had the call so my fiance nipped in to be told by Julie's colleague Julie has your fiancee's phone number and will call her back. The call has never occurred and therefore we won't be asking Wickes to design our new bathroom which is a dissapointment following our previous experience with your store

I booked an appointment online which was shortly followed by a phone call from Julie Johnson at Oldham branch to say she can’t do 5pm as we requested would 10.30 be ok I said 11 am would be fine so she booked us in.
On the day it got to 11.15 and no sign of her so I checked my email to see another confirmation of 11.30 which had been altered without discussion.
We had several appointments today and are very busy people and as this first impression has been very poor I won’t be considering Wickes alongside the other competitors now. In an already crowded market place with lots of choices you would think they would value customers enquiry’s, in my opinion if they can’t keep an appointment for a design visit it leaves me with very little confidence in the rest of the services.

Kitchen ordered 28 July designer not interested design had to be changed eventually fitting started it was finished approx 3 weeks ago after waiting for drawer that was missing fitter fitted drawer knowing it was wrong and left can't be bothered anymore I would never go back to wicks for anything

The staff at this store are amazing. They’re very helpful and always willing to go above and beyond to do what they can to make your experience a smooth one. I’ve been in there in tears due to the stress of my building work and suffer from a neurological condition. Julie and Simon did everything they could to make things easy for me. I’m so grateful to them. Thank you

Use wickes nearly everyday to get all my plastering materials,quick service always helpful and polite special mention to Julie f òn checkout always efficient and a good sense of humour

What amazing Customer Service - I ordered the wrong type of item online for delivery and it arrived as scheduled. Unfortunatley I had ordered an incorrect item and so I contacted my local Store who advised to speak to Customer Service.
The lady I spoke to quickly arranged a free return for me and I then ordered the correct item. The lady was proffessional and extremely helpful and understanding.
The whole issue was resolved within 10 minutes and the item is being collected tomorrow.
