Wickes and citysprint.
Having spent £200 on a load of plasterboard I waited patiently in a house I’m renovating, from 1pm because my delivery slot was between 1pm and 5pm. I got a notification from citysprint saying that my delivery was 4 stops away… 4 hours later I was still at 4 stops away! So I got on to wickes so called customer service and pled my case, only to be told that “ Wickes operates between 7am to 7pm, after going round in circles I gave up because all the operative kept saying was it’s on the van and will be delivered today!!
This is the straw that’s going to break my back. I spend £1000’s per year with Wickes, but I’m going over to a different supplier as of today!!
Shocking, unreliable, poor quality products and terrible delivery.
Good bye Wickes.

From start to finish the whole sales experience and installation experience was brilliant. The Wickes sales rep Simon was very professional and had brilliant communication throughout the whole process. Then the 3 lads who installed the solar system on the two hottest days in June (36C heat!!) did an excellent job. Would definitely recommend Wickes solar.

We were at the stage of getting quotes for solar panels and Simon from Wickes was brilliant. The virtual session we had together was very informative and professional. In the end we decided to go with a local solar company as this seemed better in terms of realising future return on investment potential (flexibility for improvements, future compatibility, AI capabilities, and being on-hand locally to fix any issues). However, the quote from Wickes was still super competitive in terms of price (especially with TradePro) and potential payback time so would otherwise have gone with Wickes.

The staff at this particular store(Shrewsbury) are incredibly friendly and knowledgeable and as a professional tradesmen very helpful to me. Prices are excellent and the quality is much better than other well-known orange places places

I had an appointment call with Simon, he was absolutely wonderful and took the time to explain any details and answer any questions i had. He is wonderfully patient and a prompt communicator, the service has been wonderful and has carried on until the setup was complete. A big thank you to Simon, highly recommended.

Simon was able to visit the same day we made our inquiry regarding the possible installation of solar panels. He gave us a thorough briefing on the viability and performance, together with the most suitable roof location for best performance.
Following a survey, the scaffolding was erected with the fitters arriving the next day. The installation was carried out by 3 enthusiastic and very competent men from Middlesborough. Once installed, they explained the App which showed the solar panels performance. Overall a most professional team.

So far so good. Initial online contact and follow up home visit completed without a hitch. System design, projected savings and options were well explained by Simon.

The help provided was second to none, friendly and patient whilst remaining efficient and customer focused - now we just need some luck in putting our decking project together!

New bathroom fitted, from start to finish everything was great, Colin woodhouse took our booking and designed our bathroom and talked us through everything and offered great advice and help, he was great through when we had questions always happy to help,
G. Smith Electrical carried out the work and I cannot recommend them enough Callum and the guys were fantastic very polite, very professional and did absolutely brilliant job, I would recommend them every single time, it was a very smooth and easy transaction and everything was great so thank you all very much!

Highly recommend Wickes kitchens. I am very happy with my brand new kitchen which took only 2 weeks to install, and fully operational by Christmas 2025. All the staff I dealt with at Wickes, Shrewsbury and Wrexham, were friendly, courteous and professional, nothing was too much trouble. Simon Brace designed the layout which works very well and has somehow managed to make the space feel bigger! The standard of work was exceptional by John and the installation team. I was kept informed at every stage of the works. The Customer Experience Team were in touch throughout and after installation to ensure I was happy. Thank you again to all. A perfect Christmas gift.

Visit the store regularly and very seldom they don’t have what I need. Always a cheerful greeting from George or Lizzie but whole team great. Never had any issue with returns or orders and the opening hours, early morning especially are very convenient. Plus the added bonus of a burger van in the car park on weekdays!

Creating our new kitchen was made easier with the help of Simon from Wickes. He always answered our questions within a few hours. Which made the process of fine tuning the layout less stressful. Even last minute tweaks on the day of signing the contract were accomodated. Thanks Simon for your help and patience.
