Great help from Billy for helping with my timber purchase

We purchased a kitchen costing over £13k from Wickes, the fitting is shocking the island although screwed to the floor is out of alignment to the wall and the other units with Wickes excuse saying that we must have knocked out of alignment, it’s disgusting customer service or in my case no customer service. The expert kitchen design leaves 2 cupboards that can not be used.
My strongest advice to everyone is don’t use them, the kitchens and fitters from Wickes are a rip off and would have had better service from someone who knocked on the door to offer to do the work.

Wickes would not understand customer service if it came wrapped as a Christmas gift. I can say we’re definitely not as proud as peacocks

Billy from the sunderland store was very helpful on sunday saved my dad having to get delivery by helping him carry and load all of his materials onto his pickup very much appreciated

I had to return an Online order that had came from the Wickes warehouse and was tatty and damaged.I was helped through the process by Dawn. My refund was processed quickly and efficiently.

This is a secondary review, initial review was for the upfront process of purchasing and designing a kitchen.
This second review is for the experience now that the kitchen has been fully installed.
I should have given 3 stars (I was on the fence) and I could write a review going through every single issue I had, and their were a fair amount, however I’m going to rather give a summary as this is reader friendly and gives a more legible and shorter bigger picture for potential readers.
Summary:
-The kitchen was only fully completed around 6 + weeks after the agreed installation date.
- countertops were missing from the order, I had to get a different style as the ones I chose were obsolete.
- installation costs were £1000 on top of the installation that’s covered in the initial quote (which covers installation) ie these were for unseen changes ie moving the plumbing from here to their, moving a socket from here to there, moving a gas line.
- grooves on sink paid for and not added, had to wait weeks to be added.
- door panel for inbuilt dishwasher was missing, there was however 2 incorrect other doors delivered.
- extra fascia’s delivered, nobody knows why.
- the only reason I’m not giving three stars is because everyone from designer to installer to customer support went out of their way to try resolve every issue as fast as possible, unfortunately things still took long, at the end of the day it’s not acceptable to take so long to get a kitchen fitted, however I do appreciate the efforts everyone made to try and gets things resolved / fixed as quick as possible. Would I suggest you use wickes? I’ve heard far worse from numerous sources about other kitchen providers, it seems its normal in this type of business, long story short id rather have a kitchen that’s 6 weeks late and resolved with every member actively working to make things right, than a company that misses things and doesn’t bother to make it right. If I can suggest something to wickes, I would suggest you align part numbers on the delivery order with what’s on your system, and then when the order is ready, the designer cross checks that everything on the order aligns with everything that’s on their design and everything gets ticked off as being available.

Popped into the Sunderland branch. All the staff were fab however Billy went above and beyond to help and support myself and my wife.

Whilst visiting the SUNDERLAND store today, I had a somewhat complex shopping list. I asked for assistance/advice from BILLY, who was busily unloading stock from a pallet. Without hesitation, he gave me his full, undivided attention, took me to the in-store locations of exactly what I required, and gave some excellent, welcome advice. Total credit to Wickes and the Sunderland Store. Thank you.

I booked a design appointment online for a full bathroom renovation consultation at 3:00 PM on Friday, July 11. I received multiple text confirmations clearly stating the time and date. Prior to the visit, I also spoke with a design expert about my flat and the scope of work I was looking to have done, and everything seemed in order.

The day before the appointment, I received another confirmation text for 3:00 PM. However, on the day of the appointment, no one arrived at the scheduled time. I called Wickes at 3:20 PM to work out what was going on.

I eventually received a call at 3:33 PM and was told the appointment was actually set for 3:30 PM, despite all the confirmations I had saying otherwise. Only to then be informed that they don’t deliver supplies to flats and weren’t even sure if my property was a flat until they arrived. This was never mentioned during the initial consultation, even though I had made it clear from the start.

I took time off work specifically for this appointment and found the experience frustrating and poorly coordinated. Based on this experience, I would not recommend their design consultation service.

Staff are all ways polite and friendly and mainly all ways willing to help you .

Approached them for their community funding after applying online and being accepted. Heather Carter, the manager, immediately explained how it worked and what I could/ couldn't have. She was extremely helpful and couhave done anymore. Upon my return the next week, Heather was unavailable but the two other members of staff were amazing. I couldn't fault both the staff or the products. 5/5

Bought a flymow from Wickes used it 3 times 8 weeks after purchasing tried to use it and there was no response when it was plugged in. Changed fuse in plug, checked electric supply, still nothing. Rang store I purchased from they said would have to contact flymow as it was older than 31 days spoke to flymow they said take it back to shop. Rang again, was told to take it back by staff after she spoke to manager. Took it back next day another staff told me to contact flymow, I explained another person, she knew her as said name spoke to manager and ring it back. She rang a number of different people finally a different manager said we had to contact flymow. The assistant said she would e mail them and copy me in. Got email from store telling me to contact flymow they had spoke to them. They sent co tact e mail for flymow which is husqvana. I sent email,it was returned as adress not found. Co tacted customer service online, They wanted all details store already had instead of contacting the store themselves. Sent details, stillwaiting to get sorted, After that many weeks with a gears guarantee why should I have to deal with manufacturers. It was bought from Wickes, Shocking customer service, do t by flymow products from Wickes, dont know if other stores are same with flymow products, after years of being wickes customer I certainly won't be purchasing anything from them again. Be warned terrible customer service

Just been to wickes at pennywell,young man called Alex offered us help straight away.went out of his way,got us a trolley,showed us were items were,fantastic customer service,first class,a big thankyou.

Had a bathroom and shower room fitted by Wickes, Sunderland. I am delighted with the finished results. It looks amazing. Thanks to Sue Taylor, the designer, and Steve Lawrence, the fitter for their guidance, perseverance, and extremely hard work in making sure I got the results I wanted. Both went the extra mile and kept their sense of humour when faced with all kinds of difficulties. Thank you to everyone involved, it was a tricky journey with all the obstacles that an old cottage entails but they succeeded. Well done to you all.

Went in and Heather assisted us, was so friendly and helpful, staff member you need to keep hold of!

I had my kitchen designed by Sue in the Sunderland Wickes store. She was fantastic from start to finish. Very knowledgeable, very approachable and would highly recommend her to design any one’s kitchen or bathroom. A seamless process and very affordable considering the bespoke package I bought.

Thank you so much to the lovely girls at the Sunderland store, Heather and Christine. They helped with ordering of some tins of paint, gave great advice, and Heather even went of her way to pick up some paint from another store. Couldn’t ask for any more, great friendly staff.

I purchased 16 boxes of bathroom tiles, 600mm x 300mm in size so each box was heavy . Staff member Alex kindly helped me to my car, not only helping to pull the trolley but loaded the boxes into my car ! For a middle aged lady on her own I was extremely grateful for Alex’s help . Thank you Alex I much appreciated your help 😊
