Wickes - Wisbech レビュー 

Good products as always but exceptional customer service from Jayne today ensured a return visit.

We wanted to fit out a laundry room and found kitchen units we liked at Wickes at Wisbech. We had support from James Pintile in the design team who went ‘above and beyond’ to help from start to finish including after sales. The design modelling was excellent to get a preview of the finished article. Delivery went smoothly and efficiently. All items were delivered on time with no damage. As competent DIYers we fitted the units ourselves, which was straight forward with no problems or shortages. During the project we identified another side panel was required and James organized supply and delivery, quickly and efficiently. Finally at the end of the project we had decided not to use one of the AluSplash panels we had bought, as it was unopened and undamaged James was able to organize the return and refund. The units are of a good quality and look great. What was also impressive is that all contact with Wickes staff was helpful and professional.

Always very helpful and quick to sort out a problem. Special mention to Jayne on helping me this time sort out an issue.

Great products & fantastic service

We’ve been buying a lot of decorating equipment and tools recently from Wickes and we hit a bit of a roadblock on our project. Luckily for us, Justine from Wickes Wisbech was on hand to give us advice and support and and we got exactly what we needed as a result first class service from Justine from a really helpful branch. Thank you!.

We booked a new en suite and installation beginning October (Install date quoted early/mid Jan)lovely design but since then Customer Service has been terrible. We were texted on 11th October the perfect fitter been found and would be in touch within the week. He wasn't. 2 weeks later after contacting Wickes he did get in touch he was sorry for the delay van had been broken into tools stolen etc. He would come that very Thursday at 4 to do the prefit survey. 5pm Thursday still no sign of fitter so we called him. He was very sorry he'd forgotten it was his daughters birthday and he wasn't coming. Didn't apparently think to let us know or rearrange. It was clear he didn't want the job and told me to find someone else. Went back to Wickes a Customer Service Manager was appointed to make things go smoothly and that's when it got worse. He rang and said the original fitter still wanted the job. We said we didn't trust him now and wanted someone else. After a short delay someone else was promised and he'd be in touch to do the pre fit survey last week and wanted to start on 26th Jan. This date is not convenient for us so we suggested 26th Feb. The fitter did not get in touch and did not conduct a prefit survey. So we contacted our Customer Service Manager who has just told us that the fitter will arrive on 26th Feb as arranged to start the work. We have not had the pre fit survey and are waiting for this because there are tiles and flooring to buy quantities need confirming by fitter and there will be plastering to do which we need to agree a price for and the extent of with the fitter prior to the build.

And yet despite having a Customer Service Manager appointed earlier on in the process than normal I'm told and returning to the shop to talk with the original designer we don't seem to be getting any real service. We had them design a kitchen as well but fortunately for us we didn't really like their design and went elsewhere for that.

We are now considering whether we can get our deposit back and go elsewhere for this too.

Feels like we've made a big mistake

We did indeed make a big mistake. Wickes asked me for more info from this review I provided it, heard nothing. Visited our designer in store 1st Dec to find a fourth installer had been assigned and would definitely call us by 5th Dec. Wickes Customer services contacted us to say the fourth installer would call us on 4th and visit on 5th and start on 26th Jan a date which we had already said was not convenient anyway no one called. So having told the Store on 1st Dec that this was their last attempt all the 3 previous installers having failed to contact us and/or show up. We have now apparently had our deposit refunded (yet to arrive in our account) and will now have to start the process again elsewhere.

The installation of our expensive new bathroom was a shambles from start to finish. We only have one bathroom for a family of 4, so having it done quickly was a must. The installer turned up a week late & was a very bad timekeeper. We didn't know when or if he would turn up. He then went off with illness. A week passed before another installer came. He told us that he didn't want the job & was only doing it as a favour to Wickes. On the last day of installation (day 23), the shower didn't work. The Wickes expert said a new pump was needed. We coughed up another £400 cash as we were desperate for the misery to end. Foolishly, we signed off the job. A few days later, the shower didn't work properly. Wickes were not interested. Read the small print they said. We had further work completed at our own expense. Turns out we didn't need the £400 pump after all! Still no hot water in the shower. After looking on Google, we fixed the problem....the expert installer hadn't commissioned the shower correctly & it had been left on the low factory setting. After 11 weeks we now have a fully functioning bathroom. We got £200 compensation from Wickes, but this is a joke. They were not interested in fixing things & simply quoted policy. So disappointed & frustrated & out of pocket. We will never set foot in Wickes again.

Jaime was brilliant, she went above and beyond to the extent of checking the item would fit in the car before purchase.

Clive always goes above & beyond to make you feel welcome, prioritised & tries to help to the best of his abilities. Friendly, welcoming & a great asset to the team. Not to fault any of the other staff there, great friendly store with the knowledge to go along side their roles. Wouldn’t hesitate to recommend.

Writing on behalf of my husband who visited today for MDF sheets. He has got a dodgy knee and these sheets are heavy, so huge thanks and credit to Clive (Wisbech store) who offered to help without being asked, and then helped him to load in the van. Clive, you are an absolute star 🌟

Ashley, the manager at the Wisbech store has been amazing. I run a local charity supporting others through creating in woodwork, metal work or art and craft to tackle loneliness, isolation, and/or mental health. We have just extended our kitchen area for our wheelchair members and we have been so lucky to have Wickes and Ashley to source us a worktop, work surface and taps, free for our project

Rosie was extremely helpful with our purchase. Great customer service.

Apparently it is company policy I was told but every minute out of a loud tanoy come " a forklift is working in our store please don't go near any barriers" or something as irratating. EVERY MINUTE.

the designer Shane Read was totally brilliant, so helpful nothing was too much trouble even coming into the branch at the crack of dawn to see us to fit in with our timetable.

Jamie helped me with finding the right person to advise me on the correct paint required. This lady was extremely knowledgeable and was a pleasure to deal with, as was Jamie.
Paint Shopping! A chore that turned out with me smiling for the rest of the day, I will be looking forward to going again!

Kitchen design at Wickes Wisbech. Service and attention to detail provided by James Pintilie was second to none, absolutely amazing. Certainly knows his stuff. Would recommend James without hesitation.

Visited this branch a week ago and was assisted by Clive who was very polite and helpful in helping me find the product I needed. Excellent customer service provided and a smile to accompany it. Thank you Clive!
