Nearly 3 months later — no goods and no refund
I placed an order with Witham on 1 July.
The delivery initially didn't turn up on the day I was told it would. After chasing, the driver eventually arrived three days later — but somehow the items I'd ordered weren't actually on the lorry.
That was frustrating, but mistakes happen. What's completely unacceptable is what has happened since.
I've now spent almost three months repeatedly chasing Witham to either deliver the items or refund me. Each time I've contacted Louise in customer service, I've been told essentially the same thing: it has been escalated to the branch, somebody is going to sort it out, and somebody will get back to me.
Nobody does.
I've heard the same assurances over and over again, yet I still don't have the items I paid for and I still don't have my money back.
A delivery mistake is understandable. Taking a customer's money and then leaving them chasing for nearly three months without either supplying the goods or issuing a refund is not.
I've now formally cancelled the order and requested my money back. I'll update this review if and when Witham actually resolves it.

We have been able to identify and review your order with the relevant team. It is clear that the service you received fell short of the standard we expect.
Your order was placed through the Witham Timber website but was passed directly to another company within our group that was better placed to service your delivery postcode. Unfortunately, the communication and follow-up after this point were not handled as they should have been.
Your refund has now been issued, and we sincerely apologise for the inconvenience and frustration caused.
