Never again at Days Inn

We stayed at Days Inn in Merced on July 28. When we got there we had to go to 3 different rooms to get one with a working TV. It was very noisy the whole night. The shower was dangerously slippery. No hand holds, nothing. We had to put a towel in the shower to keep from slipping. Then the next morning breakfast was between 6:00 and 9:00am. My husband and I went to breakfast at 8am. The only thing they had to offer was a piece of bread and potatoes. That was it! We asked if they were going to bring out some more food since breakfast time was for another hour and they said NO, they were done for the day. I will never stay at another Days Inn.

After completing my booking and payment, I received a message from the "host" through Booking.com’s internal messaging system asking me to confirm my reservation.
The message appeared official, came through my Booking account, and used the same style as Booking.com — which made me trust it completely and enter my card details.

SAR 983 was charged from my card by an unknown third party. Later, Booking.com admitted that the host's messages may have been compromised — yet no real solution was offered.

Additionally, the property is extremely remote — about 90 km from Salalah — with no nearby services. The overall experience doesn’t reflect a 5-star hotel at all, and there’s an obvious sense of excessive cost-cutting and limited amenities.

I strongly advise any traveler to avoid this property, and to never trust any messages after booking unless verified directly.

Stayed here with family of 4 during July 4th weekend. Booked online but front desk clerk was uncompromising to the simple reservation error and we were inconviently forced to rebook.

Then the rooms frig was broke, tv remote broke, no rags the entire stay, spotty towels, my children feet were black from the carpet, the blow dryer motor was exposed, and worse of all my wife was bit by bedbugs.

The booking agent lied about the cancellation fees. My trip was cancelled due to illness, when I called to cancel my reservation the agent stated my refund will be placed back on my card in about 3-5 days. never received

We stayed at Wyndham Garden Lara for the second time this April. Our first visit was amazing, and we had such a fantastic holiday that we immediately began planning to return again next year. Unfortunately, this recent experience has left us completely traumatised.

On the day of our check-out, I accidentally left a jewellery box in the wardrobe next to the safe. It contained several sentimental and valuable items, including my wedding ring, a family heirloom pendant, and gifts from my husband. I realised the loss very shortly after we left and contacted the hotel immediately — by phone and email — but the staff were evasive, unhelpful, and refused to escalate the issue to management. No investigation was offered. I was left completely unsupported and ignored.

What’s most shocking is not just the loss itself — it’s the way the hotel management handled the situation, or rather, refused to handle it at all. No effort was made to look into the matter or offer even basic reassurance or accountability. This complete lack of responsibility and compassion has deeply affected me and my family.

We had planned to return next year, but after this experience, I feel unsafe and let down. It is truly devastating that a place we loved so much could allow this kind of treatment.

horrible customer service. do not recommend would not recommend. not something that i intend to ever do again. even when contacting their front desk service-same expereince. never even knew they had such a low rating either..........

Cancellelation without any explanation

They just cancelled my reservation a week before my arrival - with no explanation. When I called them they said they needed the room due to the hurricane. The hurricane happened weeks ago, so as a minimum they could have informed me earlier making it possible for me to rebook This was a long time planned trip from Norway, but the staff didn´t really care about what trouble they had put me in. Don`t trust them.

Microtel Inns and Suites (Dover, NH) - Not a good idea to stay there

Microtel Inns and Suites, Dover NH: 10/17/24 -10/20/24
We had to pay the bill in advance when we checked in.
They wouldn’t take a gift card (VISA) card for payment.
The sheets were dirty, not changed when asked first day we were there.
Stale moldy breakfast food (bread, English muffins).
WiFi was awful, TV in room was Wifi connected, could not get any programs
The room was dirty and was not cleaned (vacuumed, stains on carpeting)
Bath towels were dirty and overused. They were all the size of hand towels.
No coffee maker in the room (as advertised)
No microwave in the room (as advertised)
The Fitness center closed.
Room was hot and you could not control the temp as thermostat was broken
They would not refund any charges for the issues brought to their attention.
Every issue was addressed with the front desk and we were told that “changes were coming real soon” to correct them.
Unable to find another hotel in the town as they were book for weddings and a Film Festival.
Unfortunately a terrible experience. No customer should be treated this way.

This place is absolutely disgusting and should have been closed years ago. From entering the room it stinks, the walls are dirty, everything in it is OLD and over due renovation. But the WORST PART is…. My family stayed in this hotel in march 2024. We found a roach in the room. After complaining that night, still had to stay in the room until the next morning when management was there. We finally got another room. But there was no vacancy anywhere near my son’s shows, therefore we decided to go with this filthy plc again. Well guess what?… again the room smelled horrible. After being out all day we returned to the hotel & My 7 yr old grandson found a roach on the bed. I go into the restroom and there’s a roach crawling on the floor in a disgusting corner of the tub area. 1 roach in March 2024 then 2 roaches in July 2024. Not to mention the front desk clerk said they keep cleaning supplies hidden because crack heads come in and sniff it to get high. Well WTH are crack heads doing IN the hotel.
Please avoid this place. Why is city and state officials allowing this to go on. ?!?!? Yes…., I do have pictures and video. If I were to start a lawsuit I’d start with the hotel and I would include the city and state for letting this go on. There is NO way any inspections are done. From march 2024 through July 2024 it’s gotten worse. Someone has to be held responsible. I deserve a refund and a free room at a better hotel by Wyndham hotels. I’m 45yrs old, I travel a LOT. This is the WORSE hotel I’ve ever stayed at. Oh I forgot to mention there was a long string of black hair under the cover of the 2nd bed, back in March. My hair was short and blonde.
Again, I do have video and pictures of everything mentioned.

Scam Hotel. Charged me double and then ignored to fix it

I arrived late at night, due to problems with the train ride. After checkin the receptionist came to my room and said I had to pay by card downstairs. I booked the hotel upfront and in the moment I wasnt shure if I already payed upfront via booking.com or just made a reservation.
So I payed by card.
After the trip I checked my spendings and there it was, they charged me two times. First via bookiung, than in the hotel. I called them several times and everytime the said it is tu busy at the moment and the route me to a office and then the call was terminated.
I contacted booking.com but they never solved the issue.

Worst place to work

Worst place to work. Management treats employees disrespectfully. Hours are cut and if you don’t like that, you’ll hear them tell you to find a job somewhere else. Some employees are favored over others. I would highly suggest not to apply there. For one… I’d never go back to work for this company again. 🤨

SCAMMERS

SCAMMERS, THIEVES, CHEATERS, BOGUS, IRRESPONSIBLE, IGNORANTS..
Not sure whatelse to call these scammers, I had confirmed booking for check in on 24th July, on 23rd late evening I called the hotel and told them that I would be arriving late after 9pm ET which the front end desk person acknowledged and said NO ISSUES.
But when I visited the hotel on 24th July at 11:30pm, some black lady CASUALLY says she is sold out , and when I told her that I HAD A CONFIRMED BOOKING, she says, she gave the room to the person who paid upfront !! (Note: I gave my credit card details to these scammers while booking)
At midnight around 0 hours I was roaming on Boston streets looking for hotels !!
FAST FORWARD to July 27th:
I checked my credit card transactions, TO MY SHOCK, RAMADA HOTEL (BOSTON) CHARGED ME $179 !!!
AND SINCE 9PM ET I have been trying to reach out to the front desk, I STILL DID NOT GET ANY ONE ONLINE, I AM STILL ON HOLD, AS OF 10:38PM
ON JULY 28TH I AM GOING TO THE LAW FIRM TO FILE A CASE AGAINST THESE SCAMMERS FOR HARASSING ME AND STEALING MY MONEY

Disguting

This has to be the worst hotel I have ever stayed at it stank there were wrinkles in carpet in hallway big enough to trip you the wall were dirty and had gouges in them. The mirror behind bed was cracked. Carpet was filthy. I stayed here because they have a shuttle service to airport but if you park a car you cannot use the shuttle. This place reminds me of a 30 year old motel 6. Opened the drawer and cockroaches ran out. Truly disgusting place stay away. I made the mistake of paying when I booked through Hotel.com. was told no refunds no matter what so I stayed but NEVER again

be aware you will probably be scammed…

be aware you will probably be scammed via wyndhamhotels dot com. The contact numbers on the website for uk reservations is fake, the one that works leads to an indian call centre that clearly worked from a script. the booking form is suspicious as it does not allow you to book things (e.g pet) that incur an extra charge. however the first thing they want is your credit card details before you even book!. there are no proper details (e.g. contact numbers) on the hotels. the contact form does not work properly.

Never again

On 02/22/2023, I checked in the Microtel at 920 S Military in fond du lac Wi, hoping to have a night away from home to just relax. The first room I was placed in was #213. Immediately I was skeptical because upon entering the hotel lobby, a lady was at the vending machine without shoes on (red flag). When I entered my room I noticed upon checking the bathroom, there was hair on the toilet back, some clear glue looking substance stuck to the sink bowl and top, and when I decided to look at the blankets, there was visible old blood stains on them. The phone and tv remote were both gritty and visually dirty. The second bed I never even considered since there was a visible blood stain or some brownish yellow spot right on top of the comforter. I alerted the front desk, and after being emotionally exhausted (hence why I decided to get a room), I had the inconvenience of gathering my belongings to go sick downstairs to get a new room. The new room was better however the phone, tv remote, and shower curtain were all dirty. I was told by the front desk, I would be discounted due to all that happened, but I was not. That was a week ago. I do NOT recommend this hotel nor will I ever go there again. Disgusting photos will be uploaded via company review through Google.

ELENDIG kundeservice!

Bestilte et værelse til 3 voksne. Det fremgik højt og tydeligt at det var til TRE mand. Men værelset var kun med én dobbeltseng. Skulle der være en seng til 3. manden, kostede det 300,- ekstra. Men når man bestiller til 3 personer, som det også fremgik af bekræftigelsen, er det nok fordi man kommer 3 mand!. Elendig kundeservice og bookingsystem.
Første gang vi var der, betalte vi 360,- for at holde der 48 timer. Og da vi kom i p-kælderen, var der ingen pladser.

La Quinta Blew It

Sometimes it is best for a company just to do the right thing even if it contradicts normal company policy.

On December 27 I made a reservation for the La Quinta Innin Deerfield Beach, Florida. Cost was $150 for the night.

They have a no refund policy for reservations. That's an undertandable policy for most situations. It would not be fair to the property for someone to book a room weeks in advance only to cancel at the last minute. (Although there are still many hotels who have free cancellation up to 1 day prior to the reservation).

Within 15 minutes of my call to La Quinta my cat starting having seizures. I had no idea what to do -- I had never seen this before. I immediately contacted an emergency vetetinarian and they told me to take him in immediately.

When I called the hotel back --- mind you within 25 minutes of booking the room -- they basically told me to pound sand.

I understand it is their policy but sometimes it is better business to just do the right thing. That $150 they stuck me with will be a pittance compared to the PR harm they will receive after I get through retelling this story over and over again.

Needless to say I would sleep under a bridge before I rent a room from this company.

I recently had the pleasure of staying…

I recently had the pleasure of staying at the newly renovated La Quinta Inn and Suites Columbus North and I have to say, it exceeded all of my expectations. The location was perfect, situated off the highway and close to shopping, restaurants, and attractions. The hotel itself was immaculate and well-maintained, with a modern and stylish design.

One of the highlights of my stay was the bright and spacious guestrooms, complete with comfortable deluxe pillow-top beds, a refrigerator, microwave, and coffee maker. The free WiFi was a nice touch, and it was available throughout the lobby and rooms.

Another standout feature of the La Quinta Inn and Suites Columbus North was the fantastic amenities offered. The fitness center was well-equipped and the outdoor pool was a refreshing respite from the Georgia heat. The business center was a convenient addition for travelers on work trips, and the sundry shop was a lifesaver for any last-minute needs.

But perhaps the best part of my stay was the complimentary Bright Side Breakfast offered each morning. The selection was impressive and it was the perfect way to start the day.

Overall, I had a fantastic stay at the La Quinta Inn and Suites Columbus North and I highly recommend it to anyone traveling to the area. The hotel exceeded all of my expectations and I will definitely be returning in the future.
