Unfortunately, their customer service doesn’t seem to exist. I sent an email on the 24th Feb re: their felt tip eyeliner and velvet mascara, requesting confirmation of ingredients due to the mascara formula ingredients on the Zao website being the F3 formulation, but the description listing shea butter.

I emailed to check to see if their current warehouse stock is definitely the F3 formula, and to double check that the eyeliner doesn’t contain those ingredients. I received no response to that email nor my follow up email sent 3rd Mar.

There are so few makeup products for the eyes that are acrylate and shea free, so to not have a response from a is really disappointing.

I have a purchasing product they are send me without seal I received product I just open box I feel uncomfortable colour too dark after I think I have to return the product I emailed her also I have returned the product I just say to them please I want to my refund she said to me you have opened seal I just say I don’t open seal anyone they send me without seal I want to my refund only please I will give you advise do not by any form this website please

I ordered pressed powder which turned out to be translucent and not what I wanted. It was replaced free of charge as I'd written to their customer services and explained. The replacement is a good colour, is very easy to apply and gives enough coverage without being caked on. The reusable packaging is lovely to handle and magnets help keep the lid on when its not in use. I would happily buy this again.

So glad that ZAO was found it! After trying many other chemical free make up products on the market- quite few of them- without a doubt ZAO is my favourite! They really work and have a nice feel to it unlike any others of this type on the market. I would highly recommend this company. I have used their blusher, lipstick and pencils. Happy with them all!

I have been purchasing these products for some time, and I've been satisfied until now. Recently a bought two eyebrow powders, but they have changed the shape from round to rectangular. But it is not possible to buy the bamboo container for the rectangular ones. A pretty poor show I think. I now cannot keep the eyebrow powder in my make up bag as it would mess up everything in there. Also I now have a circular container that is useless!!! Not impressed.

Zao mascara. I really wanted to like this product and I really love the ethos behind Zao and the wooden case it comes in such a great idea, but the mascara was awful. I found the same as another reviewer I expected it to not be the same as the products with plastic in however I was not prepared for the slightest moisture and it was straight down my face and it was really hard to get off as well! not only that my the pain if I got it in my eye it was agony!. To be honest it has done me a favour as since I have tried this product I have not used mascara. I thought I would really miss it as I have worn it for over 40 years but I actually feel really liberated so thanks Zao.

I ordered a brush an a powder foundation. I left a good review for the powder, but I left a negative one for the brush as it was very expensive and fell apart on me.

They immediately approved the positive one, and the negative one was deleted. Scummy business practice really.

It's expensive. It's very wet when being applied so it smudges easily. If it goes in your eyes it hurts like hell. If you get wet in the rain, or have even a small cry, expect to look like a panda because it comes off so easily. Really disappointed with this mascara as I spent £21 on it, hoping to be more sustainable. Seems more like a rip off.

I purchased Zao black mascara

Disappointed - this is not a 'cheap bargain' mascara.
I always clean my face of make up at night before going to bed, but with the best will in the world, there is sometimes a little bit of mascara that gets left behind. I try to be gentle with cleaning around my eyes, so I am certainly not prepared to be more vigorous. Still, I ended up with stains remaining on my pillow case after washing - when they usually come out immediately when I use other mascara brands. I have to hope they will come out in the next wash.

Great products and excellent customer service. The make up is beautifully packaged and really high quality. I would definitely recommend this site for high quality organic make up. Very happy customer.
