I applfor a Finnish speaking job a few times with them, and after each time I promised myself that I won’t apply again.

Each time I was met with quite rude responses or they stop responding mid hiring process. The last time I applied they asked where I’m based. At the time I was in Romania as my partner had to be there for work. Our plan was to move to Croatia where we have a beachfront property or to go to the Netherlands or Italy after his job thing ended. The minute they heard that I am in Romania, which is within the EU, they stopped responding.

I’m not salty for not being hired, as there are several Finnish speaking projects that I can work for, but I couldn’t help but feel prejudice and racism each time I enrolled in a conversation with them.

PS. Romania was amazing.
