Poor reputation and we previously had service . Service was not bad but support was awful. Despite this they still want auotpayments.! No thanks.

Crappy customer service
Signed up at end of Nov last year. Was promised a $100 gift card from Amazon after first bill was paid. Going on month 3 with no gift card. Tried contacting salesman. Nothing. 2 weeks later tried contacting again, email no longer valid. Tried doing the live chat-they only help new customers. Told them I am cancelling my account and keeping the electronics.
Only worth the 1st year promotion low connection
Ok is the internet good? no. but it allows us to watch some tv. does the satellite full of snow cut internet? yes. But im not lazy ill wipe it off. My problem is that they fish customers with a reasonable price that the satellite is actually worth then after a year it doubles in price. Not worth it my cellphone data is much faster ill cancel

I have been with Xplornet for years and now they offer a free upgrade? The tower is being shut down feb 24th for my area. Patricia said I can get their satellite service for the same price I'm paying now, but of course I will lose my unlimited status. Oh yes, and they won't charge me more if I use my data, they will just slow it down. My service has been intermittent, at best all these years, so I really can't see me paying more money for the service. I can not afford $120.00 a month for, a little more data, plus tax for internet. My groceries are more important than internet. I may have to close my online shop. Thx Xplornet.

Very rude customer service didnt know any basics and pretty much refused to answer any questions, and pretty rip of prices..
Xplornet service vs Telus Hub Red Deer
East of Red Deer AB, paid for 50mb download speed with Xplornet. Did a speed test every evening for a month the average was 6.94 for $120. Cancelled and subscribed to Telus hub 100mb download speed for $50. First week at Telus speed averaged 105mb.

8h a day everyday, $150 a month, snows 1 inch and your wifi is gone for a day, rains and your wifi is gone for a day, a grandma falls over 8 citys away? ur wifi is gone for a day, the entire company is a scam and you should not buy their wifi, if you live in a forest just get starlink.
False promises, poor customer service
Called them to enquire about internet, they told me my area was within their service area. Made an appointment for a technician, he arrived unprepared, I had to lend him my ladders and after 20 mins just says sorry you don't get a signal here. Left my ladders out and my gate wide open. I am on my phone to Telus to cancel my cancellation of services!

If you could put 0 star that's what I would do. Left us with no internet for a week, their team can't do anything. They have to ship a router from their Warehouse in Ontario to Prince Edward Island to fix our problem, don't have any tech that could come and bring another router.
Unreliable and slow.
We've been with xplornet for a decade now and I give up.They're unreliable,expensive and download speeds are all over the place.They oversold the towers where we live and when the kids are off school it's pointless and frustrating trying to get on the internet.Instead of improving their "service" it's getting worse.
We live in a rural area with few options which is the only reason we have stayed with them so long.

They claim to be a Canadian company never once have I got a Canadian who speaks English on the line. Every time my internet is down I have to be home and spend an hour on the phone dealing with it.I don't know why they can't fix it on their end.

Your company needs a good shakedown, from top to bottom. I called and wanted my bill to go back to what it was and warned I would be moving if it didn't happen.
I got a call for the Loyalty Dept and said 'No Problem' but it was too late I had already contacted TELUS.
My last bill is ridiculous. I pay you too much and then I have to wait to be reimbursed ... What kind of stupidity is this?

I switched from Xplornet to starlink. Besides Starlink is a lot faster it is easier to manage with just clicks on the website within my account. I try to cancel my Xplornet service since about 3 month. They just ignoring anything I do.

The worst company I’ve ever dealt with. Not only is their service the worst in the country, I’ve been trying to cancel my internet since August. Five phone calls so far and they say yeah it will be cancelled for my Visa to be charged for yet another month. I don’t even live at the location anymore. They’re criminals, literally.
Absolute disaster for an ISP
Absolute disaster for an ISP, so frustrated paying for this crap. They bought out the only other provider (CCI) and then promptly shut down the tower. Now I get an email saying they are increasing the cost per month... OMG what crooks.
