I couldn’t have asked for a better NVQ assessor than Laura Palmer. From the very beginning, she made the entire NVQ process feel simple and manageable by breaking everything down clearly and in a way that was easy to understand. Her guidance took away a lot of the confusion that often comes with the NVQ, she walked me through every step and made sure I always knew what was expected.

During the face-to-face observation for the electrical installation certificate, Laura was absolutely outstanding. She approached everything in a very friendly and professional manner, introduced herself warmly, and immediately put me at ease. She was thorough in her assessment, carefully checking every test as she should, which pushed me to stay focused and perform at my best. At the same time, her calm and supportive approach helped reduce any pressure I was feeling.

What really stood out was how reassuring and approachable Laura was throughout the entire process. Whenever I found myself overthinking or stressing, she had a way of simplifying things and calming me down. She was always friendly, easy to talk to, and never made me feel uncomfortable asking questions—no matter how small they seemed.

She was also incredibly reliable and supportive. Anytime I needed help or didn’t understand something, she was picking up the phone whenever I called. Her relaxed and patient attitude made a huge difference, especially during the more challenging parts of the NVQ.

Overall, Laura Palmer made what could have been a stressful experience feel straightforward and achievable. Her professionalism, support, and dedication really stood out, and I’m very grateful for everything she’s done to help me succeed. Honestly if I could give 100 stars I really would

My experience with XS Training was great and this was mainly because of a supportive, clear and effective assessor which is LAURA.
Throughout the course , Laura made it very clear what type of evidence I have to provide, what are the assessment criteria. The communication was made effective via XS platform, WhatsApp and video conference.
Achieving NVQ is not something easy, but LAURA made the difference! So I will highly recommend it!

I had Jamie Scott as my assessor, he was professional throughout, I was nervous during all this, he went above and beyond to make sure I was ok and ready to complete my observation. The way he posted questions and directions was clear and understandable. was a pleasure to have completed my NVQ with Jamie and would recommend XS Training to anyone that are wishing to change career.

Heard a lot of good reviews about XS before signing up. At first was given an assessor who I felt didn’t care if I got my portfolio done or not. But once I complained it got dealt with immediately and was given Laura!!! Well what a difference she made in 2 months got it all done. She had a clear plan and guide for me to follow and was amazing from beginning to end. THE BEST ASSESSOR IN THE WORLD 🌍

I had some bad experiences over the years regarding training/nvq.
The xs training team was on point from day 1 .
Any queries or questions I had was dealt with with in 24hrs of messaging.
I would recommend the training company to others within the industry.

I had a really positive experience completing the City & Guilds 2357 qualification with XS Training, and I would especially like to thank my assessor, Thomas Simpson.

Thomas was professional, approachable, and extremely supportive throughout the course. He explained everything clearly, ensured I understood what was required, and always gave constructive feedback. His patience and encouragement made the process far less stressful and really helped build my confidence.

XS Training provided a well-structured programme with good communication and support, but Thomas genuinely stood out for his commitment and professionalism. He clearly cared about my progress and success.

I would highly recommend XS Training, and in particular Thomas Simpson, to anyone undertaking the City & Guilds 2357 qualification or similar training.

I’m absolutely delighted to have completed the C&G 2365 Level 2 Diploma in Electrical Installations course with XS Training. It’s been a challenging journey that required real dedication and commitment, but it has been incredibly rewarding.

I genuinely loved the course. The balance between theory and practical work was excellent, and the tutors at XS Training were supportive, knowledgeable, and always willing to help. The course gave me a strong foundation of knowledge and hands-on skills that I can confidently build on as I progress in my electrical career.

Completing this qualification is a great achievement for me, and I’m excited to continue developing my skills and work towards the Level 3 NVQ Diploma in Electrotechnical Technology (2357) in the future.

Craig wiltshire was amazing and kept me on track not sure i would have finished without him was finding it so hard to do with industry I was in and had time where I messed up and if im honest Craig was hard like you want to be an electrician you should know this stuff but he was right but after that he would also help guide you how you could improve we to get the help needed he honestly kept me in the game and as of today I can actually say im a fully qualified electrician

I’ve recently completed my NVQ with XS Training and couldn’t fault them. From the enrolment to booking the AM2 everything was a smooth process. I had Tom Simpson as my assessor and he was brilliant. I also found their AM2 preparation guide very helpful.

I used XS Training for my 18th edition about 3 years ago and the experience was the same, hence me coming back. Will use them in the future for any further training.

Done all my courses through XS loved the journey to become qualified Electrician what I love about XS training is the way everything is explained really helped me in my exams and on site couldn’t thank them enough

Tom & Richard made all the initial process and tasks so simple to follow, and also made them challenging and enjoyable. They made the learning much more productive and fabricated it to me better as an individual.
Laura helped me through my NVQ, and was an absolute delight. Her electrical knowledge and experience really aided me as a learner, and really challenged me to my best for the exam and portfolio.
Genuinely cannot thank them enough for helping through this experience, I really feel like I’ve come out the other side as a better electrician, and more excited for the future. Thanks again guys!

I've just completed my Level 2 2365 and have already started my Level 3.
I found the online content perfect for my style of learning and lifestyle. Being able to stop and start as time permitted was a huge win for me. I also found the back office to be extremely helpful in booking exams.
Throughout the online element of the course I was dreading the time in centre for the practical element but found the instructor, Richard, to be friendly, helpful and dedicated to his students and the trade. I would even go so far to say that I thoroughly enjoyed my time in centre and am looking forward to returning for my level 3.

I was given Muztaba to help me through my NVQ 3. From the first day we spoke on the phone I knew Muztaba was so good at his job, he knew everything and if I had an issue he was there to sort.
