May Trans Bhutan Trail
I did the Trans Bhutan Trail via Yellowwood which was great. Haba (local tour guide) was incredible and would definitely recommend . I have done multiple tours through different companies and he is world class.
Accommodation is great however a lot of it is buffet food - would have been nice to have some local restaurants mixed in.
Itinerary changed which is fine (and fully expected) but I think it would be beneficial for more people from YellowWood to do the tour to understand the itinerary they are setting.

Your points about the food and itinerary are really helpful. We agree that adding more local restaurants would be a great touch and we’ll be speaking with our local team about that. The last-minute itinerary tweaks were made by your guide based on recent experience, but we’ll look at updating the official version to reflect this better.
Sarah from our team has done the trek and helped produce the overview webinar on our website, she's always happy to chat in more detail with guests but we are hoping to get more of the team out to Bhutan soon!

Wonderful drivers/guides and experiences
Our wonderful Rumbo a Picos drivers/guides Darios and Alejandro were incredible! They made sure we always knew meeting times and places, what was happening for the day and went out of their way to make alternative arrangements when weather or other factors meant we couldn't do what was originally planned. Loved their sense of humour too.
We loved the places we visited too (just wish I knew how to pronounce them).

Perfect itinerary and exceptional communications

Wonderful adventure in Lapland
My first contact with YellowWood was a call in which very friendly person from the YW team took lots of time to answer all my questions. The organisation of the trip was very good. Super cool program, lovely locations, great local hosts, super nice travel mates from different countries....and an absolutely amazing experience of seeing the northern lights. A big thank you to everyone for this wonderful adventure!

Great support throughout by Yellowood
Great support throughout by Yellowood. In country the guide and team were great. Such a wonderful exposure to the country if Bhutan, although calling the trip a "trek" is quite a stretch, more of a short trail walk as each leg was downhill ( after driving to the top of a pass!) so don't expect any Himalayan trekking. Some of the accommodation was way bove expectation, most times the views from my room were stunning - overlooking a valley and/or a direct view of dzong ( old fortress)

Yellowwood are a really efficient and well organised company who really take care of their clients. Costa Rica was such a wonderful mix of experiences and our guide, Aberlardo, was outstanding. This is my second adventure with Yellowwood and, at 86 years old, I hope it will not be my last!

Oman Adventure
Just returned from a trip to Oman arranged by YellowWood Adventures and what an amazing time we had! Everything was seamless from the time we touched down in Muscat till we left and the itinerary ensured we got to experience the real Oman from desert to mountain to oasis's. The company excels at finding the hidden gems of Oman and our guide, Daniel, with his vast knowledge of the region’s history and geography, gave us such insight into the country and its culture! I would highly recommend this company to all!

Incredible and unforgettable trip to Oman. Our guide Daniel was amazing — wonderfully knowledgeable, unbelievably kind and took great care of every detail to craft a fabulous experience. The team at YellowWood were brilliant — helped us coordinate a private custom trip, answered all of our questions as we planned itineraries and were lovely to deal with. Highly recommend this entire crew! We will be booking another adventure with them again soon.

Everything and Adventure Should Be
If you are thinking about going to the middle east don't hesitate to go to Oman. Our guide Daniel was fabulous. He is very competent and knowledgeable and created an exciting adventure for us each day. I cannot recommend this trip enough. Learned so much about the history and culture. I am an older person and travelled with women half my age. Some of the walks were a challenge but Daniel customized each one for me.

Just returned from a tour of Oman with YellowWood. Incredible trip. Packed full Itinerary. 5 women and our guide and driver became like family. It had everything, hiking, swimming, camping, culture and history. I travel often and this was one of the best guided trips I have ventured.

Amazing experience in Oman
Just got back from an amazing adventure in Oman. It was a well organized trip, have seen a lot of beautifull things, nature was beautifull.
We had the best guide ever, Daniel! He is such a nice guy. Every day felt as another day in paradise. We made memories for life and the group of 5 women felt like family.

The attention to detail by the office and our guide was wonderful. Nothing was left to chance. The planning of our Adventure was very thorough and the arrival of a huge storm that made changes inevitable was handled perfectly

An amazing holiday
An amazing holiday! The Canary Islands are stunning, and YellowWood and our guides were a great way to see them. A great itinerary, lovely hotels, great food, beautiful walks, knowledgeable and friendly guides - I cannot fault the service. Everything was taken care of including all taxis and boats to get us to from walks and between islands and accommodation. Some of the walking routes were more challenging than I am used to, but well worth the extra effort for the amazing views. I can heartily recommend YellowWood Adventures!

I felt so confortable and safe with YellowWood Adventures. Bhutan is such an enchanting place, and they make sure you see, learn and enjoy every second of it! Hiking in Oman
YellowWood planned an excellent hiking camping and culture trip covering 2200 kms over the mountains the desert and the beaches around Muscat in Oman. The highlight was ‘ canyoning ‘ down and back up the Wadi Bani Khalid to a stunning group of water falls and pools. However our enjoyment and safety would not have been the same without the experience and expertise of our guide Toufic who was well informed, willing , able , thoughtful and efficient with interests and opinions far beyond camping and guiding in Oman. Thank you Toufic and YellowWood.

Unique Adventure
My wife and I recently participated in the Historic Cities and Foothills of Northern Spain. It was truly an adventure. Our guides were great; they gently pushed the group in the hiking portions of the trip and provided memorable culinary experiences.
This trip far exceeded our expectations in the locations we visited, the places we were lodged and the food. Picos de Europa, Asturias, and the Basque Region are truly phenomenal and made more desirable by YellowWood Adventures. Anyone thinking of traveling to this area needs to utilize this group.

Well planned trip with good support both locally and in the UK. A good itinerary and an excellent local guide meant that the whole arrangement went smoothly with enough fluidity to allow some adjustments on the day. And if you haven't been to the World Nomad Games, you should - look out for 2026!

Cities and foothills of Northern Spain
