Chris worked with us at every stage of our project from inception, through many design iterations, to detailed plans, listed building consent and planning permission. Throughout the process, his advice has proven sound, he produces high quality drawings and is endlessly patient as we worked through a number of ideas and iterations to arrive at a plan that works for us and the house. Most importantly it was approved by the council!

Chris’s vision and work product is second to none. He is a fantastic architect and has provided a range of options for our extension which has helped us to unlock the true potential of our property. Chris is also a planning expert and has been helping us with the subsequent application for the new design. He has been incredibly thorough and supportive through the whole process to ensure everything gets sorted.

Had a great experience with Chris at YORarchitects. We had plenty of ideas for our extension but were not sure which ones to go with or what would work with the constraints we had. Chris was patient and gave us tonnes of options to choose from until we got to the final design.
He walked us through the entire process from ideas -> planning approval with no issues.
I should add he is reasonably priced and you pay per stage so no request for all the money up front before you see anything!

We used YORarchitects to do a design for the conversion of our existing outbuilding. Chris was wonderful! He made time to do multiple home visits around our work schedules and developed a great design that took all of our wishes into account, while clearly adding his expertise. The builder was happy with the design output and we can’t wait to get started on the project.

Having been let down by a previous architect, Chris was recommended to us.
Because we had no idea how to make the bungalow layout work for us and did not know where to start with getting planning permission, we had put off doing anything for years.
Chris spent time walking us around the property and listening to what we thought we wanted and why. This ensured he understood our requirements, taking into consideration our budget and future needs.
He came up with ideas we would never have considered and gave us more than one drawing so we could visualise the different options.
It is very daunting to go through something that can seem so complicated so it was a weight off our minds that everything was broken down into phases and we were kept updated at each stage of the process.
The bungalow is in a conservation area so we really must thank Chris for his excellent vision and drawings, ensuring we got full planning permission.
Chris helped us realise our vision and was a pleasure to work with.
