Awful. Seriously awful. I have 26 years of driving experience, but hadn't driven in 2 years and needed a refresher. I've driven mostly internationally, but also in Ireland. My instructor Santos was demeaning and abusive. He taught me techniques that do not work - not with him, not since I left the school. He'd yell at me to break the law - such as driving faster than the speed limit, or telling me that the National Speed Limit was higher than it was. When I refused to drive in a way that was a danger to myself or others, he threatened to cancel my test - which he couldn't do because I'm the one that made the appointment. By the end of 5 months of lessons, I was nervous and uncertain about something that I'd gone into knowledgeable about. I finally called it quits when the yelling and mocking started to affect my mental health.
When I quit I contacted the school and told them what happened. I asked for the last 3 lessons to be refunded because that's when the abuse got untenable. I did not hear back.
Since getting another instructor - here are the things that I was not confident about doing 'the right way' after nearly 40 hours of lessons:

Parallel Parking
Back Bay Parking
Country Roads

I was also TOLD not to do observations in roundabouts or look out my back window when driving.
Avoid at all costs - pay extra, go elsewhere. Heck even an intensive course would have been less time and money.

Had aman as my instructor and he was very good taught me everything and I passed first time today! He was patient and was committed to helping me get there can’t recommend him enough!

Passed my test first time with only 1 minor mistake, thanks to YDA. I was extremely nervous to start driving but Mrs Bhupinder Kaur was fantastic, providing clear instructions and structuring lessons to suit my learning style. , she built my confidence from the very first lesson, She made sure I was fully prepared, especially with tricky manoeuvres. I felt very safe and confident on the road. Thank you.

My instructor Pam has been the best instructor I’ve had and she’s incredibly patient and understanding. As I have mild ASD she’s been incredibly understanding. For me she’s 10/10 we’ve always had quality time and chats whilst we use our lessons too. I would heavily recommend her to others.

I had a good experience learning to drive with my instructor- Abdul Hai Ayaz .They were patient and explained things clearly, which helped me improve my confidence on the road. Lessons were well structured and useful. I’d recommend them to anyone looking for a reliable instructor.

Have been learning with Aman, automatic, for a couple of months now and I can say with confidence that he was the best instructor I’ve ever had! He was very understanding and was very knowledgeable about test routes! I have passed my test today and it’s all thanks to him. If you are reading this Aman thank you. Will miss our lessons :(

My driving instructor, Abdul Hai Ayaz, was excellent. He was very good at spotting mistakes and explaining clearly how to improve. His instructions were always detailed and helpful. I would highly recommend him.

I did my lessons with Aman, he is calm, patient and easy to have a conversation with. He is very friendly and kind, and i couldn’t have asked for a better driving instructor😊😊😊

I recently passed my driving test and I wanted to share how positive my experience was with Your Driving Academy, especially with my instructor Javed.
As a new learner I knew I needed someone patient, calm, and understanding, because mistakes are part of the learning process. Javed was exactly that. He never made me feel pressured or discouraged and always took the time to explain things clearly and help me build my skills and confidence from lesson to lesson.
His supportive approach really helped grow my driving skills and confidence and thanks to his guidance and teaching style, I was able to pass my test on the first attempt.
I couldn’t have asked for a better instructor.
I highly recommend Javed to anyone who is learning to drive.

Passed today with 1 minor, all thanks to Nihal. She’s an absolutely incredible driving instructor, calm, patient and honest. I wouldn’t have been able to get my result without her. She goes out of her way to make sure you’re as prepared as possible. Definitely have your lessons with her!

My instructor shital was very good & polite and made all my confusions clear very easily in one go, one of the best instructor you can ever have, will show you the easiest way to pass your practical exam in one go…thank you

I passed my driving test today and I honestly couldn’t have done it without Aman. He is an incredibly patient and supportive instructor who always took his time to explain anything I found confusing. His calm approach really helped build my confidence behind the wheel.

Aman prepared me exactly for what the examiner was looking for, making sure I understood not just how to drive, but why things needed to be done a certain way. I used to really struggle with roundabouts, but he took extra time to break everything down clearly and helped me approach them with confidence.

What really stood out was his constant patience he never rushed me and always made sure any issues were fully sorted before moving on. Overall, Aman is a fantastic instructor and a pleasure to work with. I highly recommend him to anyone looking to learn to drive properly and confidently.

I had a fantastic experience learning to drive with ShiTal from Your Driver Academy (YDA).

From the very first lesson his communication was clear and professional, making the scheduling and setup process completely seamless. He was consistently punctual, which I truly appreciated.

ShiTal has an incredible patience in the way he delivers his instructions, he has a real strength in explaining complex things simply. Beyond just driving skills, I felt comfortable enough to have great conversations during our lessons making every lesson something to look forward to. If you’re looking for a teacher who is supportive, encouraging, and genuinely cares about your progress, I cannot recommend ShiTal enough!
