I was searching for a backpack suitable for my commuter train journey to DC, where I’d need to run the last two miles to the office. The backpack had to be spacious enough to accommodate ironed shirts, pants, socks, dress shoes, and toiletries. After extensive searching, I discovered Zip Running. I delved into Reddit and several blogs, and it seemed like the perfect fit! However, when I attempted to place an order, I found that the color and size I desired were unavailable. Undeterred, I emailed the company’s address, and to my surprise, the founder responded personally. He informed me that they were currently working on a new version, and the one I wanted was not yet available. Nevertheless, he offered me a discount to pre-order the new version. What impressed me the most was his honesty about the expected delivery date. No other company would have been so transparent. The founder’s openness to feedback and his apparent collaboration with customers to design products are truly commendable. Zip Running is a startup based in the US, which adds to its credibility.
