Zumper literally sends me nothing but fake listings. I have no clue how this is an existing rental platform. They need to be shut DOWN!

Terrible customer care. They gave me wrong instructions and Iost my account.

Agents don't use! They'll list your property, take your money and deactivate your account all within 10 minutes!

I found an apartment listing through an app called Zumper for property 4520 Natick Ave Los Angeles ca 91403.

I requested a visit and contact with the property manager/listing via the Zumper app. And once they reached out to me via email.
They provided false documentation.

The first was a written correspondence that unit is available for rentals, the contact reaching out was the “property manager”. He lied about representing the unit's owner and he presented a falsified license.

He falsified a application, lease and move in contract. And required a wire transfer of funds for a “refundable security deposit”.

He scheduled a tour and then lied about having to reschedule. After the lack of communication, i decided to visit the property myself.
I then discovered that the unit did not exist. After contacting the buildings HOA manager he informed me the listing was a scam, there wasnt ever a vacancy or a property manager or owner by the names i was given.

I reported this to the police and filed a fraud claim with my bank.

I reported this to ZUMPER and heard nothing back.
Beware of this site.
They do not screen their listings, leaving potential renters vulnerable

Is this real? Paid $50, bad luck I didn't checked the website on trustpilot before buying their product. Platform works well to add your account that's for sure, once you pay them everything colapses. People, read first about the website, DO NOT BUY! I'm tired of scamms website, people like this. Big RED FLAG!

Unresponsive owners and agencies.
DO NOT SIGN UP FOR ALERTS.
You will be buried under an avalanche of irrelevant listing's by indifferent owners and agencies. These owners & agencies blanket the web with ads using multiple sites making one site no better than any of the others.

No one updates THEIR listings!!!! All these landlords are completely PRICE gouging us tenants. CALIFORNIA IS SHIT

Do not use Zumper if you can.

Tried to set up an account online, but had trouble logging into the system. I was told initially verification process not completed. After I uploaded my passport and completed the certification process but still cannot gain access. Upon inquiring again they said I violated their terms and conditions. The funny thing is I have not even started doing anything. All I did was register for an account, I did not even have a chance to post anything. Now, the rep said to send over personal information such as bill and IDs over an unsecured channel so they can "check". Nice try. This is usually where your confidential information leaks and triggers identity theft.

I post with another 5 websites and none of them had any issues, I would recommend people to stay away from Zumper.

I wouldn't even give them a one star. I signed up for an account as a Real Estate Agent. Did all the verification they asked for. I even got an email stating that my account was active and to begin screening tenants. I sent two tenants over to their site, got the application done, credit report done, and then they deactivated my account because they said I did not abide by their terms. All I did was try and download my reports. I strongly recommend after my experience, that you use another screening company.

I am a legitimate owner and tried to post my listing on this site. However it got rejected with no explanation, all they did was send a link to the terms which is a very long document. I then sent proof that my business owns the property and my ID, still rejected. Not sure how they expect to run a business like this.

I’ve used Zumper in the past without any problems, but after reposting my rental home, they acted like I was trying to pull some sort of scam. The customer service is absolutely terrible. They asked for confirmation that I was the owner, but even that wasn’t good enough for them. It’s as if they wanted some sort of extreme proof – maybe even a blood sample! Honestly, their service is just pathetic. I wouldn’t recommend using Zumper unless you enjoy dealing with incompetence.

Zumper is the worst run site I have ever used! Their listings are not accurate and the chances of you getting in touch with anyone is impossible. Not sure how anyone would get a rental using their services. Not even sure how they are still in business. Super frustrating. Will never use again and will strongly encourage others not to use it either. It's literally a mess.

The listing sent to my email as a currently available home for rent is in fact a listing from several years ago. When the broker was contacted to arrange a viewing they had no record of the home being listed for rent.
The email is a bait and switch attempt. Zumper.com is a scam and should not be trusted.

Zumper has allowed someone to fraudulently list my home for rent and has not removed the listing even though I flagged it as fraudulent multiple times. The same phone number in the fraudulent listing is on many properties in my area.

Grateful that Zumper sends me apartment rent listings, but I have to weed through them because most are way above my budget. Zumper keeps ignoring my budget preferences. I'm on a fixed income and WILL NOT EVER be interested in an apartment that is 70-100% of my income.

We rented this house for five months last winter. There were landscape people working in the yard for two weeks after we moved in. We could not sit outside for 3 months because of the odor from the pool and hot tub which had algae and rotten debris in them. We never were able to use the pool or the hot tub because the owner never got the boiler working for us. 24 dishes were chipped and no cushions on patio chairs it took over 6 weeks for the owner to replace them. The furniture in this house is a disgrace torn cushions, legs off sofas, fabric coming off bottom of chairs, chair backs broken, all furniture is worn out. The owners had an employee come into the house when we were out and did not notify us. All the windows in the house were filthy. All the blinds have pinholes in them. The pots and pans had grease and dirt on them which we had to clean. The mattress in the 2nd master bedroom was stained (looked like a pee stain) and the owner did not change it out for a month even though there was a new mattress wrapped up in the garage. Most of the toilets did not work right when I talked to their plumber, he said they were just old. We left for home on March 31,2024 it is now June 7,2024 and we still have not received our deposit back.
THIS IS A HORRIBLE HOUSE BEWARE

I agree with another reviewer that Zumper consistently floods email with rentals that are not in my area nor in my price range. I’m so sick of it. It’s stressful enough trying to find affordable livable places without the added stress created by Zumper. Thumbs down 👎
