After visiting so many pound shops across London, I have to say the one on Streatham High Road is one of the best. With remarkably low prices, it is an excellent low-budget store for adult and children's casual clothes. I am pleased with the groceries and selection of household products, which are of tremendous value for money. However, some cleaning products in the Pound Shop seem more expensive than average elsewhere and may need to be reviewed. The store could also benefit from more floor staff, which often appears scant. I am slightly concerned about only two people working on checkout most of the time and waiting a long time for service. I have been going there for many years, and the staff turnover is very high. I hear regular mentions on the shop floor about staff being off sick. Significant shoplifters were seen walking freely in and out of the shop, laden with goods. However, this can be prevented by introducing electronic barriers and proactive security guards monitoring CCTV and tag alert systems.
