Avoid Wren Kitchens Beckton. Our experience has been chaotic, stressful, and poorly managed from start to finish.
The advisor was very convincing during the sales process but be extremely mindful — once the order is placed, there is little flexibility and issues are not handled properly. Do not rely on them to make decisions on your behalf.
We faced incorrect orders and major delays from the outset. Our kitchen was dismantled earlier than agreed, leaving us without a usable kitchen, and we were then informed at the last minute that tiles ordered a month earlier would not arrive for weeks. We had to source alternatives ourselves, causing significant disruption.
There were also serious design and supply issues — one unit was delivered in the wrong colour, another unit is far too small to be usable, and the sink provided is not what was expected or shown during the design process.
The worktop and splashback were mishandled entirely. Despite being agreed during design, the splashback was not included in the order, causing further delays and re-measuring. The worktop that was eventually installed looks nothing like what we signed off or saw in the showroom.
Communication has been extremely poor — no callbacks, no follow-up, and no response from management despite repeated attempts to make contact.
The workmanship from Wren’s recommended fitter was unacceptable. A cabinet “fix” was poorly done, with visible screws left on the outside and gaps in the finish. Floor tiles were laid unevenly, and when raised, the fitter blamed an “uneven surface,” which was clearly not the case.
Electrical work was also substandard — switches were fitted incorrectly (only working when pushed upwards) and were not properly secured to the wall.
We also had to ask for painting to be redone. The varnish work was extremely poor, with visible drips that cannot be removed.
The newly installed AEG hob was also not working. We had to call out a technician, who reported the following regarding the installation/workmanship:
"It was identified that the wiring for the cooker hood had been connected to an unknown moulded plug with a lead and further wired into a connector block. This method of connection does not align with standard manufacturer installation requirements and was noted as part of the overall assessment."
Concerns have repeatedly been dismissed rather than resolved.
This entire experience has been stressful, disruptive, and costly. I would strongly advise going elsewhere and not relying on Wren’s recommended fitters.
