Help with rescheduling a cancelled flight

I just had a traumatic experience with my travel agent from vacationstogo and Globus tours. I was stranded in Ireland when that terrific snow storm shut down the country. Travel agent didn’t help and Globus didn’t help and the only bright light was when I called American while on the Dublin airport and I begged them to help me reschedule my cancelled flight since the American desk was closed at the airport. Many thanks to Emma (I believe that was her name) who was able to get me a flight out the following morning rather than spend 3 days stranded at the airport.

Disappointed in the customer service.

All I can say is that I’m extremely upset and disappointed with this company during my experience with some issues that arose on my Globus escape to Ireland this past week (Feb 24-March 3) You book trips through travel agencies so that they can help you with the trip and any details/ problems that may arise when problems happen. I was stranded in Ireland during the big snow storm that pretty much shut the country down in the middle of my trip. I emailed Briton my agent on Thursday and got an “I am out of the office” till Monday. I needed her to help with a return flight that was cancelled. I ended up calling the company at least 5 times and spoke with 5 different people (PC, Hampton, dahlia, edward, Abby) and only one had the courtesy to call me back (Edward). I would like to suggest that in the future if the agent is gonna be gone, please leave your customers with 1person who can help you. If your agent can’t help you with problems, then why do I even need to book through one. I felt abandoned in a foreign country trying to navigate flights, transportation, and booking hotel rooms. All I pretty much got is “There’s nothing I can do” over and over. And since my return, there has been no response from the company with at least an apology. In the end I got home worn out.

Disappointed in customer service received

I just returned home after being stranded in Ireland by Globus during the snow storm. When things are going well, Globus is a great company. But during adverse events such as the snow storm Globus dropped the ball on customer service. I realize this weather was beyond their control but please just communicate with it’s passengers. I had ZERO direc contact from Globus even tho they had our contact information. All we needed was reassurance from them that everything would be okay. That’s why we booked directly through them, so we would not have to worry about transport and hotel issues. 40% of the tour was cancelled. We were told we had to rebook the cancelled flights ourselves and find our own way to the airport. And when they finally ended up rescheduling the cancelled flight 3 days later, all the hotel arrangements were on us. When Saturday rolled around, the original end date of the tour, they dropped you off either at the airport (where most flights had been cancelled anyway) or to the last hotel originally scheduled. They then said “see ya”. I felt totally stranded in a foreign country which is why I thought I would have avoided these problems by booking with a tour company. ABANDONED, TIRED, and DISAPPOINTED with the customer care I received by Globus. A direct apology would have been nice or a partial refund, or a voucher towards another trip.
