Peaceful stay at Ffermdy cottage
We had a nice stay at the Ffermdy cottage, helped by some gorgeous weather,
The house is very comfortable, loved sitting and reading in the extension on sunny days. It’s attached to a larger holiday home/cottage, but has its own small garden and no shared facilities. There’s a gate between the 2 gardens which might interest your dogs.
Despite being situated between 2 caravan parks, it was very quiet- most days the only noise comes from the sheep in a nearby field.
About 15 minutes walk to the beach through a very quiet caravan park. The beach was lovely and seemed very dog friendly, despite what we’d read beforehand on the internet.
We had 3 cracking meals at the 57 bar/restaurant (5 mins away) - the ribs are gorgeous. The nearby chippy was also very decent. Also had a nice meal from the Saffron Indian in Barmouth.
There’s a shop about 10 mins away on a neighbouring caravan park across the road, but the Co Op in Barmouth is best for a bigger shop.
Barmouth itself is very busy, certainly during the summer when we were here, but the bridge and Mawddach Trail make a nice walk.
We would definitely come back.
