Not sure about rejection policy
I have had a few trades with Ziffit (three to be precise) and have had items rejected on 2 of them. The first rejection happened the first time I traded. I sent a DVD copy of a tv show in pristine condition and was told they couldn't offer payment as there was a booklet missing from the DVD making it incomplete, even though no such booklet was included when I bought this copy brand new (and cellophane wrapped!) from HMV.
Later, out of curiosity, I checked online on a few sites, and have never seen any mention of a booklet being included with the DVD, so it was not just a duff copy I had bought. At the time I did not take it further as I didn't think it was worth the effort for the princely sum of £1.45 they had offered.
As a result of this, I left it for awhile before using them again, preferring to use alternative re-seller sites or just giving stuff to charity shops, but eventually thought I’d give them another shot. The second time I used them everything went okay and nothing was rejected.
Thinking that the first rejection incident was a fluke I decided to use them a third time. I did the usual routine of entering a number of items through the website and was given an offer, then arranged to ship said items back to Ziffit. I received an email several days later saying they were processing the return, then received another email saying that they were going to issue payment but that some items had not been accepted as they had failed quality check.
On checking the list of rejected items, they were all (coincidentally) the books that they had given me the highest offers on. There was no offer of a revised price, or any explanation of why they were flat out rejected from Ziffit.
After this last trade I feel a bit cheated by their tactics, considering you’re not being offered that much to begin with and to then be given nothing at all seems very unfair as what’s to stop them from trying to sell these items on, despite what the email might say about disposing of rejected items.
