Bait & Switch Tours

I booked a Viator tour through TripAdvisor and received a confirmation for the tour from Viator. Today, on the day of the tour, we were informed that the itinerary for the tour would be different, about 30 minutes after leaving the pick up spot. There was no option for us to get off the bus and not go after finding out the place we wanted to visit on the tour wasn’t going to happen. Apparently Viator is the middle man between TripAdvisor and the Japanese company who carries out the tour and itineraries are adjustable based on what people book. We spoke with the tour guide who told us to call Viator and when we called Viator they said it wasn’t their fault either. The Viator customer service associate tried to blame me and say the flower farm is seasonal (which it is), but it is August so the dates for the flower farm are in season and confirmed on my reservation from Viator. None of the three companies want to take accountability and no apology was offered. I will be getting a refund, but am stuck on a full day tour doing different activities than what I chose and paid for and since it is my last day there is no time to rebook the activity I wanted to do. I have booked several tours from Viator in the past and this is the first issue and their handling of the matter has caused them my business in the future.

Update:
The person I talked to on the phone said a refund would be given. I just received an email that the tour operated as planned and a refund would not be given. IT ABSOLUTELY DID NOT GO TO THE PLACES I BOOKED.

I also sent an email to customer service as Ricardo suggested below. It did not receive a response. I had three more Viator tours on this trip and 2 of 3 did not visit the sites they said.

Charged for a Subscription I didn't Sign Up For

I did not sign up for a subscription and was charged for one. I did not receive anything from the company and have two charges on my account. I am disputing both with my bank.

False Advertising & Bait & Switch

We have booked three cruises with this company in the past and all three of those went well. However, now their website displays a bait and switch tactic. On their website we see a balcony advertised as $1200. When we called, they informed us that there were no balconies available, but we could get a suite for $3000+. We called a couple of weeks ago to inquire about another cruise and the same exact thing occurred. Their website IS NOT a reflection of the actual cost they plan to charge you or what is available. We will not use them in the future due to this. They are clearly false advertising.

Red Flags All Around

Product does not work. Bought the stimulant free product and still had the jitters. Cancelling the recurring payment took work. The site doesn't have an easy option for this. I refused delivery of the second shipment and was still charged. They claim USPS threw the package away and I am responsible for paying this. This product appears to be an all around scam.

They will cancel, no questions asked. Alternatively, you can log in to your account to cancel.

If you refused delivery and are a Domestic customer, we are able to issue a refund as it would be delivered back to our warehouse. If you refused to pay international duties and customs destroyed the package, we can try reaching customs in order to retrieve package.

Mercari falsely advertises shipping…

Mercari falsely advertises shipping protection for sellers. Their site claims they offer $200 worth of shipping protection for all items shipped with Mercari label. I just sent an item that was wrapped in tissue paper, bubble wrap, and included packing bubbles. The item was damaged in transit and the buyer said the box looked dented and not well handled. Mercari denied to file a shipping protection claim citing that the package had inadequate shipping protection, but wont specify what is inadequate. (Doing other research, I have found that this is their typical robotic reply to get out of shipping protection coverage.) I cannot file a claim directly with UPS because I used a Mercari label. How can they get away with falsely advertising shipping protection that they don't offer?

Quality Control and customer service…

Quality Control and customer service are both terrible. I purchased a pair of pants for my son. The first time he wore them they appeared short, even though they are the same size as others that fit him. After washing them and hanging them up for the first time, I noticed that they had different lengths of legs on each side. One side had an inseam of 18.5" an the other had an inseam of 20". I messaged their chat service and they offered me a 10% coupon to buy a new pair. No thanks! Then, they gave me an email to contact. The email was NEVER responded to.

THE WORST COMPANY!!!!!!!

Tripmasters is a terrible company with HORRIBLE customer service. Our trip to Europe was canceled due to the Coronavirus and we have received the run around for 6 weeks now. They will only refund portions of the trip and plan on keeping the rest, although NO SERVICES were rendered. If you are considering booking with this company, I cannot urge you enough to RUN! It has been nothing but utter frustration dealing with this company.

Mercari falsely advertises shipping…

Mercari falsely advertises shipping protection. I shipped a snow globe delicate item and due to the nature of the item I packed the box with multiple shipping materials to ensure safety during shipment. It was double wrapped in paper, triple wrapped in bubble wrap, supported on the sides by large bubbles, and newspaper was placed in any small area around the item that may have room for the item to move. According to Mercari it wasn't shipped adequately enough to qualify for shipping protection, yet they won't tell me what was inadequate! Can't get a response that is not basically computer generated.
