Yes the company offered to SELL me a post that would withstand impact but refused to let me return the existing flimsy post in exchange. Nowhere did it say on the existing post that it would NOT withstand impact. The company has mentioned that it would not withstand a deliberate vehicle collision at speed. It wouldn’t withstand any impact at all never mind at speed. This should be clearly stated on the sales information as if it had I wouldn’t have bought the post. As a result I am now £500 out of pocket due to misleading sales information and believe this to be absolutely disgraceful from a company in the security industry

I recently bought a Telescopic Round Post (500mm high x 90mm diameter) Stainless Steel, integral Lock - Sold Secure - SMART AND SECURE TESTED AGAINST ATTACKS which was described as a highly effective and robust way to protect against unwanted vehicle access to premises.
Unfortunately there was a delay getting it installed but once it was in the ground it was apparent that it was the flimsiest security post that I have ever had the misfortune to buy. I raised my concerns with the company only to be told that it was not designed/tested or manufactured to withstand impact!! I requested my money back and was refused but told that the only option was to buy another post that was fit for purpose.
I have spoken to other security companies who also sell security posts and they were appalled at the description of the post and the admission that it was not intended to withstand impact. I am now £500 out of pocket. Please do not put your security needs in the hands of this company as like me you may well be very disappointed. I am now investigating whether there is a governing body for the security industry that I can complain to as well as Trading Standards and failing that will raise a claim at the Small Claims Court. BUY FROM THEM AT YOUR PERIL!!
