Young wan with an attitude.

Placed an online order last year for a TV aerial splitter. Found out that it was not the splitter that was faulty but the aerial itself.

Cancelled the order and all was refunded so everything was good. About three months later a young wan with an attitude rang me and asked why I didn't collect my order. I told her I cancelled it and it was refunded, why the phone call. She says "will I go ahead and cancel it so?" Then she just said "arigh" and hung up before I could answer.

Please hire some actual living and breathing human beings with brains preferably and some common sense. I know it's Athlone but there should be some smart people down there somewhere.

Decline in service. Disappointing.

There are lots of positive reviews but my experience lately has been less than positive. Recent orders were sent but any issues with returns or damaged items are difficult to resolve due to lack of response from the company.

I have asked about getting a replacement camshaft as one of two that I bought was damaged without this being stated on their description. They have a replacement that would suit but they have not replied to my emails. This is poor even though they offered me partial refund but I don't need a refund just suitable replacement camshaft for the engine.

I am trying to resolve this through PayPal and hopefully get a replacement or refund as this is a disappointing experience from such a highly rated company.

Unfortunately I won't be buying from here again.

Good business

Bought parts for a 2006 Suzuki VStrom from KFM after finding them cheaper than main dealer in Ireland. Parts were on back order but arrived relatively fast with email updates each time an item arrived into stock. Shipping was fair price and fast delivery. Prompt response to emails each time I inquired about the orders status. Unfortunately one of the parts arrived with a piece missing but this was acknowledged and a replacement is in the works so can't fault KFM it was sent from supplier like that. Overall positive first experience. Hope they are always this good.

Incredibly incompetent

I contacted this organisation for advice or help on two lost and abandoned cats that had been at our house for almost a week. I sent images of the animals to them and reported that they were less than 6 months old and appeared to have been dumped or abandoned. We could not keep them as we have our 16 year old cat and terrier cross dog.

I explained my concern for the cats and that we had given them some food and could not find their owners locally. The response? 'Stop feeding the cats, they will go away eventually.'

You want me to be intentionally cruel to vulnerable animals to get rid of them when you are supposed to be an animal protection agency.

Useless experience

Ridiculous company to deal with

I have been insured with Axa for almost 12 years and I can tell that this will be my last year. They refused to recover third party damages from a vehicle that almost collided with me and caused me to incur damages.

Almost three years later and they have told me that this is a non recoverable claim as there was no direct collision. Ridiculous. I have never had a good experience calling Axa on the phone from Ireland, their call centre is in Derry.

Called their motorcycle insurance to get a quote and got refused by a snotty lady named Barbara. I got cover with Principal Insurance on a learner permit with no issues for half the cost of car insurance and guess what...underwritten by Axa! This is a joke of an insurance company, although they all are. The insurance market in Europe is awash with fraudulent claims and every other honest person is picking up the pieces. Their TV ads are cringe-worthy to say the least.

Really poor customer support

Really poor customer support and misleading listings for parts. Show parts listed in images that are not consistent with the physical product. You need to double check with support that you are getting what you see. I did this and found that I would have to buy other parts separately even though they are shown included in the listing. Very misleading and NOS parts are overpriced. Unfortunately, it is the only seller in Europe that sells old bike parts so you are limited in choice. Disappointed and not recommended. The two responses I got to my queries were short and blunt and didn't like me pushing for a proper response, cms can check this if they want to but I know parts and how to repair bikes but they don't like you asking questions before placing a very expensive order. Going to buy from Suzuki directly in Ireland instead. Mirella has no idea how to talk to people and just shuts you down.

Dangerous item, defective.

Sell dangerous and cheap aftermarket parts. Bought a replacement battery for Nokia 5.3 in August, now October the 1st and battery started to cause software and performance issues. Charge depleted in less than half a day, battery level was all over the place and not consistent. Phone started to malfunction and reboot almost bricked the OS. Battery was swollen upon removal and could have been a fire hazard. Very poor quality. Original battery is back in with a new charging board and is working perfectly.

Overall experience positive

Good selection of large sized footwear for men. Can be a bit more expensive but that is the nature of buying larger sizes than normal. Postage can be slow and can take a bit longer than expected but this is the post office system not the seller fault. Have bought from heather shoes when they had a shop in city centre and now online they are just as good.

Poor flexibility

Their customer service is abysmal, just drones with no personality or friendly attitude. They will not offer a quote for insurance for learners unless it is a low displacement bike and even then it is restrictive and you are limited to what bike you can insure. Principal insurance offers a much better experience although not perfect by any means it is still a better option. I only contacted Nash once and it was a poor experience to turn me off.

Outdated and flawed

Overall a poor platform compared to other online market places that offer identity verification for users. This site has a lot of fake and spam users that only want to harvest information. It doesn't allow changing ads once posted even after paying for them which is unfair. It needs to be changed to allow safer and more user friendly experience.

Dangerous and cheap

Purchased a replacement laptop battery from a now defunct seller that was to replace a HP 9470m battery.

Battery was shipped from UK to Ireland and when arrived was branded Green Cell which are on eBay and Amazon in droves. These are a VERY cheap and poor quality battery made from low cost reconditioned lithium cells.

The battery cost 70 euro all in and only lasted a bear 12 months. Bought in Sep 2023 and began losing its charging capacity after several months and would take a long time to charge via original adapter.

The battery started to swell while laptop was using battery alone for power and when opened one cell was completely swollen and almost burning and a second one not far behind. I have since sourced a replacement OEM battery from Netherlands that is same price but a Korean/Japanese brand replacement. These batteries are highly dangerous if swollen and could explode or cause injury/fire if not noticed. Only the laptop shut off during use that it gave cause for concern.

Green Cell are very poor quality made in PRC from cheap cell technology and not able to withstand the demand of a medium range device such as a laptop. I understand they even make car batteries which is ridiculous to even consider putting one in a car let alone a 13 year old laptop.

Felix likes it

Good quality item and fast delivery. Better than the tray I was using and reduced waste from the inside. Easy to clean and the lid makes a difference to stopping scatter. Felix likes it and has taken several number ones and number twos since arriving. She is a classy lady and knows what she likes.

Can't recommend

Micks Garage are a strange beast. They claim to be cheaper than most sellers and motor factors yet are priced a lot higher than most online sellers such as winparts or autodoc. They also claim orders will be dispatched on the same day but are sent out the following day without any notice or email to keep you informed. They offer delivery via an Post which is reasonable but do not respond to emails or if you have an issue with an order. I found this after sending an email to ask about canceling an order and it was never replied to. I only bought from them this time as they had a sale on brake pads and needed them in a hurry. I normally go to local motor factors or Winparts in Holland who are 25 to 30 percent cheaper than Micks Garage. I had issues a few years back with Micks Garage when I returned an item and had to ask Paypal to intervene so I will not recommend them due to these issues. If the online ordering system and logistics were improved maybe but they have a reputation it seems for poor aftersales service. They are trying to be an Irish Amazon or eBay but they have a lot of work to do.

Another great experience

Made a few purchases for parts in the space of a month due to unforeseen issues but I was happy with that as it was cheaper than buying in Ireland. Shipping was a little slower than normal and may have been the courier and not the fault of winparts. It was a weekend dispatch and the delivery was held up for a day or two but it arrived well packaged and intact. Very reasonable shipping costs to Ireland and better value than Irish motor parts sellers. I can't understand the huge price gaps in buying from Holland compared to Ireland. There seems to be a higher mark up on auto parts in Ireland than in Europe. I will definitely be using Winparts in the future to buy service and engine parts as they are excellent value for brands that are highly recommended for aftermarket replacements. OEM prices are far too high for older vehicles and Winparts supply top quality aftermarket brands without compromising on quality. Excellent supply chain and updates the only exception is the online customer support needs improving especially if there are issues with returns or missing parts.

Inconsistent order processing

Says that the order is being shipped after several days since placing it but no update or tracking number yet. The prices are great and the delivery cost is reasonable but I'm not sure the logistics are closely monitored. I've bought from winparts a few times this year and each time has been fast and efficient. Maybe just a glitch somewhere in processing so I will wait for order to arrive this week. Still much cheaper than buying in Ireland from other sellers and OEM numbers are always available to check before buying. I'll keep an open mind this time and see if an update arrives.

Mixed review

I tried to contact Mick's Garage before the delivery was dispatched as I wanted to cancel the order and receive a refund. No response to my inquiry and could have easily cancelled the sale before being sent out. I didn't really need the parts but they will be used anyway as it will be a hassle to return. I have had issues with Mick's garage before on returns and refunds so they are not someone I would buy from on a regular basis. The only reason I bought this time was that the parts were on offer and easier to get from Ireland than other countries. Not really sure if I will buy from here again as winparts in Holland have more options on parts and are cheaper. The item was never marked as dispatched and didn't get a notification before contacting via PayPal. I placed the order on Friday and it wasn't dispatched until Monday so I could have easily cancelled and been refunded but unfortunately I just had to accept the sale. The prices on Mick's Garage are a lot higher than most local motor factors and the shipping is slow, but sometimes you just have to buy parts wherever you can find them.

Poor customer service

Placed an order for collection online and waited almost four hours before travelling to Athlone to collect. The website says that orders are ready for collection within an hour. I called the shop and the girl I spoke to could not have been less interested. She just said to wait for the email. I requested a refund on PayPal straight away. Won't be using this store again as prices are much higher than other sellers. I only bought the item as it was half price on clearance.
