As package did not appear via next day delivery, I had to arrange it to be delivered on Tuesday, 10th, because we were out of town over weekend.
Called local depot on Tuesday, 10th to be told that package could not be located. What follows defies commonsense and good business practice. I was told that I had to contact the supplier and inform them that the package could not be located and for the supplier to make a complaint in order that DPD can raise an action to locate the package.
The customer service operative would not let me speak with a supervisor and hung up the call.
I do not have to spell out the ludicrousness of the instruction that I was given as it defies logic.
This is the second bad experience I have had with DPD, which resulted in me cancelling my previous order, albeit with a different supplier. I gave this review one star only because I was unable to give it zero.
