It’s a pity you can’t give 0 stars as Origin don’t deserve one star. My mother in laws monthly bill went from £25 a month to £62.81p per month. Apparently a letter was sent out in December 2024 advising of this increase, the letter was never received. In February 2025 on receiving the monthly bill I tried to contact Origin by telephone to cancel the contract, I was unable to get through, so I cancelled the direct debit. I eventually managed to speak to Origin and cancelled the contract, but was told this would not be done for 28days. I made a formal complaint this was forwarded to the senior management team for their independent review. The decision was that they felt no reason to alter the decision made by the complaint handler. Whilst this was all going on sadly my mother in law passed away. In view of what was going on with arranging funerals and sorting out mother in laws affairs, I made the decision to pay the outstanding debt, origin are a communications company, don’t expect to be able to communicate with this company as it can take hours to get through on the telephone, and if you are unlucky they will just cut you off. The more people that complain to the communications ombudsman then there is more chance they will look into this company.
