Automatic / Peterborough
I was booked in with Peterborough instructor Muhammed, I lasted two days and unfortunately couldnât return due to how patronising and rude he was.
Comments were made about my driving and it âbeing a missionâ, laughing at me.
Iâm a young female and found his method of teaching just unacceptable, turned up late both days, also cut my time short by 30 minutes on both days.
I did get a refund for the remaining days I had left and had no problem with 5day customer service there self, was very happy to get a refund.
I was also still able to participate in the theory on Friday which I did pass.

Booked for partner. Although the driving instructor was great and friendly unfortunately the program was massively under-delivered. Wasnât able to do a theory test until the week after the intense course, and then was told that there was no available driving tests. Completely understand there is a backlog for tests however when we then tried contacting 5 days to ask if they have found any tests, or to see about finding one ourselves or a cancellation spot, 5 days was slow and felt reluctant to email back with the information we needed.
We will now have to book refresher lessons by the time a test is confirmed. So definitely not worth the money.

The best driving lesson course
The online sessions are really helpful even though it can be boring it is useful information that will help you pass your theory test first time so long you put some effort into studying.
The practical driving was also very intense but will make you learn to drive so much faster than normal lessons however if you can not handle intense lessons then it could become stressful but overall highly recommend doing this course if you want to get your licence quicker.

Overall very poor. Felt uneasy straight away as there are no offices at the address stated. Extremely negative appointed instructor. Based in Sutton Coldfield, Birmingham. Customer service from several calls very inexperienced and uninterested ! I actually couldnât believe how Iâd been treated. Complete waste of money and now Iâm spending more on the AA Driving School who are excellent!

2nd time using after 5 years , and its gone downhill

Used originally in 2020 for my eldest Daughter at Sidcup, was 5/5 experience, got a test within 6 weeks of the course (despite massive long wait for tests as it was during Covid)
So my youngest turned 17 so used them again, got to say if you read the 1 star reviews, when they are bad they are awful when they are good they are great. This time is was a truly terrible run course
These instructors in Sidcup have their own driving schools so they don't even have dedicated instructors now.
Our instructor was 5-10 minutes late every morning (despite starting at 10am and him being 20 mins away), time was not made up in that week (was promised another 30 minutes another time) The only other person on this course instructor was early by 10-15 minutes every day so that student got all that extra time free.
No dedicated branded car, and instructor who said "innit" all the time, taught some very debatable techniques that have had to be corrected by another instructor, wouldn't have air con and left windows all open.
No test date so had to book one ourselves
Very expensive compared to other similar Driving Schools
Lucky will not have to use them again, I would suggest you find local schools in your area who run those courses (it will also be much cheaper)

5DAY does not employ driving instructors directly, nor are we present during lessons to verify the claims made in your review. The instructors are self-employed professionals contracted to deliver the practical training and as such, matters such as punctuality, vehicle branding, and teaching style fall under their individual responsibility.
While we are pleased to hear your initial experience in 2020 was positive, we regret that this course did not meet your expectations. However, booking your own test is entirely valid and often faster, which is clearly explained during the course. We provide support with test booking but do not guarantee specific dates.
Importantly, no concerns were raised with us at the time of the course. Without this opportunity to investigate or resolve issues while they were happening, there's little we can do retrospectively.
We encourage all customers to report any problems immediately so they can be addressed promptly and appropriately.

Very worthwhile time in Leeds
I really enjoyed my time learning to drive with 5Day. Shabana in Leeds was such a good instructor. I came to her as a nervous driver on day 1, having struggled to continue lessons after covid, and she was always patient and answered my questions. She was very collaborative in her teaching and never pushed me to do anything I wanted to, but also worked to challenge me with the intensity of the week. You definitely work hard during an intense course, but itâs worth it!
