Online customer experience
I wanted to purchase an e bike, but as I had no easy way to get a bike home from a shop since I don't have a car, so I opted to order online and pay for delivery so I'll be reviewing from an entirely online perspective.
I ordered during black Friday sales so I got an excellent deal, but even just the normal online prices are usually pretty good compared to the recommended retail prices.
The delivery estimate was 9-13 days but it ended up coming in only 4 which is great and was fine for me since I work from home, but it's something to keep in mind if someone isn't usually always home to receive large deliveries. It would be nice if better time estimates were given ahead of time or if times could be chosen for those that aren't always home.
The bike was well packed and fairly easy to assemble with tools I already had, though there were no assembly instructions included. Thankfully it was mostly pretty easy to figure out what went where.
The only issue I had was that it was missing a charger for the e-bikes battery, but I emailed them to let them know and they replied within a few hours to figure out what charger I needed and let me know they would mail one out. And thankfully the battery was already charged so even if it takes a few days for the charger to arrive I'll be able to use the bike until it runs out.

Customer experience was poor.
Bought a bike from the website (it was a good price) so I was ok with that part of the experience. The payment was taken. I received an email saying your bike is ready for pick up in store. I arrive and the bike wasn't ready. The sales person was messing around with the gears, shaking his head, then there were two of them. After about half an hour of waiting around I said, "I would come back", they agreed. I came back a few hours later and the shop was busy, the salesman looked at me and then proceeded to serve several other customers. I waited another 10-15 minutes before I needed to go. I did not get to pick the bike up. I emailed them and explained I was disappointed about not being able to collect the bike and would they be willing to deliver it (which I believed was fair given they wasted my time). No reply. Two days later I had an opportunity to drop by the store, I was then asked a million questions - who is the bike for? Has it been paid for? Mate, I am not a criminal, just want my bike. Customer experience was very poor, I had questions but felt like they weren't interested in answering them so I wont be going back there in the future. Airport West Store.
Unreliable and dishonest.
I placed an order for an e-bike at a discount on the website, 99 bikes accepted the order and took payment. Almost 12 hours later they cancelled the order with no explanation, effectively breaking a contract under British consumer law (be very careful and read their t&cs before you place an order, apparently they don’t consider the contract to be validated until they ship the goods, as opposed to when they take your money). 24 hours later I am still waiting for them to explain why they cancelled the order.
In the meantime an alternative discount from another shop has expired, so 99 bikes cost me money.
I will never deal with this company again and I would advise others to think very carefully before doing so.

help with replacement bike after stolen bike Nedlands/ Occonnor store
I previously gave a bad review about the cost of replacement wheels and the unwillingness to offer alternative cheaper parts , but then the nedlands store has been very helpfil and compassionate and I will be replacing the bike which was cheaper than replacing the wheels . they are even keeping the frame of the bike for me for another week whilst i arrnage to have it removed as I have no car and dont want it to go into the bin.
Todd is amazing!
Todd was tremendous to deal with at the Tweed Heads store as we bought and set up my wife's first e-bike today. Friendly and knowledgeable both over the phone and then in-store, patiently providing excellent insights to help us in our purchase of the Cube e-bike, helmet, rear rack, basket and more. Despite working past closing time, he made the purchase both easy and enjoyable and seemed just as excited as us as he helped load the bike into the car. Big shout out to Brandon, the bike mechanic as well. Such a great team!

Missleading and no mends offered
Via the online customer service team. Clicked on a Google ad where they advertised free delivery over $75, with no conditions. This was false, delivery was $100 and customer service made no effort to honor their advertisement or offer reduced shipping. I went to Elite Racing Cycles in North Perth instead who's customer service was outstanding and same priced bike at 99bikes.
Cluster and wheel upgrade
I approached 99 Bikes to upgrade the cluster and wheel on my Canyon CF9. It required a complex matching of hubs, cluster and derailleur. Kush from 99 Bikes Phillip was able to investigate the problem and come up with a highly satisfactory workable solution.

I recently had my bike serviced by “Brendan” at 99 bike’s Alexandria and wow I never knew what a good job should be like till now as the service he did on my bike is amazing&finally my dropper post is installed perfectly and I can now utilise the use of it without issue,I have to get new Magura brakes installed in the coming weeks and I know where I will be going from now on ,”it’s 99 bikes at Alexandria as I cannot praise the workmanship enough, I have spent many a dollar at various places over the years and no where have I found a mechanic so sound as the mechanics at 99 bikes @Alexandria .”Thank you Brendan”.

Don’t buy online
Ordered some sleeves online as can’t get to shop during business hours. Auspost wouldn’t leave without signature - seller insistance. What a waste of $10 delivery. Still haven’t got item as can’t get to post office. Avoid

Bike i got was picked up from shop and i rode away after i got home a few rides later i realized the front wheel was not secured in the dropouts properly, I promptly fixed that. Kept it for 6-8 weeks but something wasn't right as there is enormous drag with power on. Put in to shop 6 business day later i call bike has not even been looked at I never got any communication from the store.Attended store location offered a bunch of excuses they had just tensioned the drive belt (improved the ride) but the tension is way too sloppy and the rear wheel wasn't aligned or the frame wheel bolts tight. Fixed that all myself when i got home, bunch of clowns in that store and yes i got rightly annoyed and let them know it.

I bought the Cinesttico Classic Pro Nix Black MD cycling shorts, but I didn't like the product, I didn't like the quality, the body adjustment is terrible, gets in the way to pedal.
