I booked for various items to be cleaned following a tenant moving out. I was not at the property when the cleaning was undertaken. When I attended the property to check that it was ready for the tenant I found that only the sofa looked like it has been cleaned. I sent images of a rug that was still filthy and was told I would get a refund. This has not happened. I paid for the gold standard, which included pre-cleaning and deodorising, when I spoke with Martin on the phone to discuss a refund, he was rude and eventually hung up on me - when I called him out on attempting to gaslight me. I have reported this company to trading standards and also Report Fraud for fraud by false representation. Other areas might be ok but do not use the Southampton based franchise with the work being ‘completed’ by Martin or Anthony

Truly the worst company I've ever dealt with. Bought a second hand recliner off of Facebook which just needed a good clean. Found these guys online and they offered to clean for a price of £120 which I considered this to be fine. Now the day of the clean a guy arrives and looks over the chair to which he says it will cost £185 to do because he doesn't usually work with this type of fabric. Annoyed but agreed to the price as I just wanted it cleaned. He spent a total of 15 minutes cleaning which he just sprayed it a few times. I wasn't able to check over his progress as I was at work so after he left I took a look. Upon inspection he hadn't cleaned within the cracks / crevices of the sofa and it was filthy and smelly. I called him back to come and actually complete the job to which he did. Once he finished I took another look to discover there were places he hadn't cleaned yet again which were bone dry so I asked him to sort those. Two days on and the stains / smells are still there. I called the company back up to which I was laughed at and the man said you cant "polish a turd" Disgusting service. Disgusting Staff. Avoid like the plague...

I was not that quite satisfied with the results of the professional carpet cleaning from what I have hoped for. But I give credit to the prompt time that the carpet cleaner arrived on time. However, the man (harvey) finished the job in just less than half an hour for a 2-bed flat and the result was that my landlord was not happy with the result and have it done again and made me pay another aside from the £148, I have paid for the a1 cleaning carpet company. 😞😓

Jordan and Nathan were a very polite, friendly and punctual. They cleaned, deodorised and scotch guarded our lounge suite . I would highly recommend them - we are extremely happy with the finished job.

Not one email or return call

I experienced extremely disappointing service. They were scheduled to come on a Friday but never showed up, and I had to reach out to find out why. I was informed they were delayed and wouldn’t be able to accommodate me the following week either. Despite sending three follow-up emails to reschedule, I received no response. It’s clear that they don’t value their customers with service like this. Manners and basic courtesy are essential in any business, as they reflect both professionalism and good character. When these are missing, it speaks volumes.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!

We wanted our carpets and a bed cleaned instead of which we got rudeness, sexism, swearing and aggression from the operative who arrived after changing the appointment several times. He threatened to break our car park gates! He would not deal with my wife and said he would only speak to me. He told us he was recording everything. He was hysterical and unwilling to cooperate with us. He asked for payment of £255 after twenty minutes on the job. The office manager was a little better but both were totally unprofessional and rude.

As for the work it was done as quickly as possible. The carpets were not properly cleaned. We asked them to clean a mattress which was filthy after their attempt. They wanted to charge for this. We didn't see them use any special cleaning products.

Came bang on time and did a fabulous job. I cannot understand the bad reviews on this site. Perhaps they are jealous competitors writing such rubbish to damage an excellent company. The cleaner was first class and explained in detail how he would work on our elderly carpets and do his best to make them look brand new. He did exactly as promised. He then told us what to do for the next few hours and how to care for our carpets for the next several years. A great and enthusiastic young man, interested only in doing a perfect job. `and he did. Only positive guys were polite and friendly. £135 for 30 minutes,, what a joke. Before machine had been filled with water landing and half way down stairs had been done , as for cleaning solution quick misty spray over carpet then quick over,, with machine. Carpets look the same as before. Would not recommend.

I echo everything that one of the people said below. They arrived very late the carpet is still wet at 11:30 at night and there are marks they didn't put any paper underneath the furniture a very unprofessional job in my opinion.

WARNING they do not stand by their work and if you try to reach them they just ghost. The least professional vendor I have ever used. They come in all charming and complimentary but if anything goes wrong be assured you will not be able to reach them. They charged us £150 to clean out carpets, they came, got our carpets when, it looked clean when wet, but as soon as it dried we had large dirt stains which we were able to wipe with a rag (not set in). I contacted them to see if they could maybe give it another pass as clearly not all the dirt was out and they simply did not respond, via multiple emails and texts. They took my £150 and the carpets ended up looking dirtier than when they started. Martin should be ashamed of himself. A child playing a businessman.

I wanted to say a big thanks for today. Mark was great and a really nice guy. Plus he did a brilliant job on the sofas. We will defo use you again and will recommend your service to friends and family.

Arrived half an hour late making me late for work.....at nhs hosp!
Booked a bronze clean but was charged for a silver clean, promised refund , refund has never materialised.
Carpets took 3 days to dry out!!!
DO NOT USE.

Found the person who I spoken to at A1 carpet cleaners very rude, only asked him if there would be any issues with cleaning a thick pile carpet, and all I got was I haven’t got time for this and hung up. Give this company a wide birth and find another alternative.
