I’ve been with Aardvark for a year following a move from another firm of accountants.

The contrast between Aardvark and the other firm has been staggering.

Very responsive and a keen eye for detail, they really treat you as an individual and I can relax doing my job knowing they are doing theirs.

Based on my experience I’d certainly recommend them.

I have been working with Aardvark Accounting for the past three years as the director of my limited company, operating as an IT contractor. Overall, their services have been instrumental in managing my financial affairs and ensuring compliance with HMRC and Companies House.

Aardvark Accounting offers a comprehensive range of contractor accounting services, including self-assessment tax return preparation, registered office services, HMRC and Companies House submissions, and payroll management. Their expertise in catering to the specific needs of IT contractors is evident, and it has been reassuring to know that this is their specialty.

During our collaboration, I did encounter a minor hiccup regarding my pension. A mistake was made that required me to personally make a payment for the final employer contribution. However, Aardvark Accounting was helpful in rectifying the situation and providing guidance, ensuring a smooth resolution. It would have been preferable if this mistake had been avoided altogether, but their assistance in sorting it out was appreciated.

In terms of communication, Aardvark Accounting maintains a professional and consistent approach. However, there have been instances where their response times have been a bit slow, often taking several days. I have noticed that urgent matters receive quicker attention, particularly when marked as important in the subject line. It would be beneficial if their response times were more consistently prompt to address time-sensitive queries and concerns.

On the positive side, Aardvark Accounting has provided valuable advice and insights on optimising my salary and dividends. They have ensured that my financial structure aligns with my long-term goals, such as qualifying for the state pension and minimising unnecessary tax payments. Their expertise in this area has been invaluable and has helped me make informed financial decisions.

While Aardvark Accounting generally delivers a reliable service, there is room for improvement in certain aspects. Enhancing their responsiveness and attentiveness to emails, including avoiding errors in attachments, would significantly enhance the overall experience.

Despite these minor concerns, I would still recommend Aardvark Accounting for their specialised contractor accounting services. Their expertise in IT contractor finances and assistance in optimising tax strategies make them a valuable partner for anyone in the industry.

Really glad I chose Aardvark to set up my company and run my accounts. The whole process was so quick and easy - great Onboarding, face to face advice, customer service and their package includes all the insurances you need and really easy to use and good bookkeeping software and company bank account, on your phone and computer, that are linked to make your life easy and bureaucracy free. Would definitely recommend for a hassle free and really supportive package of support, advice and tools.

I had been with Brookson for 4 years for my limited company accounting and although they have all the nice tools in their portal they lack in their customer service. I’ve moved to Aardvark this year and I have been extremely happy with the service I have received to date. I don’t feel like just a number anymore and unliked Brookson when I was being passed around from one department to another folks at Aardvark are very helpful first time. My personal accountant (Ethan Speechley-Price) has been exceptional in providing advice and responding promptly. I would happily recommend Aardvark to other contractors.

Compared to several large chains I've used before, Aardvark are cheaper and go to more effort. Happy to recommend to any contractor needing a limited company.

As someone that was new to setting up and managing a ltd business, the whole accounting can be confusing and somewhat daunting. A friend of mine recommended Aardvark and although they weren't necessarily the cheapest, I'm very pleased with this decision. Without Aardvark Accounting I would have found the process of setting up a business complex and tiring. With them, however, it has been a breeze. Their guidance has been fantastic. Going forward I'm not fearing admin such as VAT returns, corporation tax, self-assessment. I am really impressed by how they coordinate so well.
