He understands people’s tastes and his passion for fine wine is contagious. Five stars every day of the week 😊

Gus’s emails, updates and recommendations are really informative and if I could afford to buy more wine I most certainly would buy from Gus. He’s definitely a most thoroughly decent expert in his field and one I heartily recommend.

Gus McClean has been my cellar master for years. When he started Abingdon's I was keep to follow him there. Throughout the year he has been a great help in keeping track of my cellar and managing it properly. I also share his philosophy on wines that should punch above their weight. He offers many suggestions with well thought our reviews for high quality, and for me the word "tasty", at a reasonable price.

Probably, like most people interested in wine, I have a number of dealers that I use. Clearly they all are incentivised to sell wine and I have found their recommendations to be at best mediocre. I stumbled across Gus’ site and have bought a number of cases over the last 18 months. He is engaged, knowledgeable and keen to understand the types wines you like. He also has access to good estates. For me he is the best wine dealer I have found.
