Received a different brand bag with a Steve Madden label attached – refund still missing
Very disappointing experience with About You. I ordered a Steve Madden bag on 21 June 2026, but instead of receiving the product I paid for, I received a completely different bag from another brand — Expatrié. Even more concerning, the bag had a Steve Madden label attached to it and came with a Steve Madden dust bag. How can a company send a product from a completely different brand with a misleading label attached?
I immediately contacted About You customer service and provided photos showing the issue. However, instead of properly investigating what happened, I only received instructions about returning the item. I followed the instructions and sent the package back, but as of 22 July 2026, I still have not received my refund.
This is not only a quality control failure but also a very disappointing customer service experience. I expected About You to take responsibility, investigate how such a mistake could happen, and handle the situation professionally. Unfortunately, this has caused unnecessary stress and wasted my time.
After this experience, I have lost my trust in About You and will not be ordering from them again.

Shady business practices, poor customer support
I received a defective pair of shoes and after contacting customer service regarding the matter, they refused to offer a replacement; only stating that I could return the product and place another order for the same pair of shoes. After returning the defective pair (for which they had me pay the return fees without compensation) and placing an order for a new pair, the price of the shoes had dropped drastically, and after inquiring if it would be possible to price-match my yet undelivered pair to the now lower price, they once again informed me it couldn't be done, only that I could return the pair I had just bought and place another order. Shady business practices, poor customer support.

We are incredibly sorry for this frustrating experience, Karl. You should not be penalized with return fees for a defective item, nor should you have to repeatedly re-order to get a fair price.

Great in-app recommendations
When I added one item into the shopping cart, the app suggested some other items which would suit with my selected pieces - to be honest, I would not have even searched for these things but now I bought them and they suited me perfectly!
