Academy Xi is a joke
Do not do a course here. I registered for a Product Management course in June 2022. Sales person was lovely, but that's where the great experience ends. After I paid for the product.
The course wasn't fantastic, most of the content came straight from Google and Atlassian's public content. But, things went from bad to worse very quickly. The course's first seven modules out of 13 were modelled after one start-up in the country (whether they asked this start-up for permission to do this, I don't know). You had to provide them with your ideas on how to improve their business.
Well, the start-up went bust, so the entire business they were modelling our course of went off the web overnight. There was no more content to work off.
I reached out in the Slack channel they provided and was told by some random 'expert' that he was working with students to fill in the gaps, whatever that means. Didn't give me any avenue to schedule time with him. I tagged the lead for the course, who then didn't respond to me until three months later, when my access to the course expired. Her response? Skip those seven modules and one of out two assignments for the course.
Understandably, I was not happy with the situation at all. This person then said that she would be happy to transfer me to the 'new course', after I wasted six months in that course when I could've spent my money on another course and be certified by now. Someone from Academy Xi then called me, now a month after my course access expired, but unfortunately I was on leave, so I asked them to call me back the next week. Never got a call back.
After that, I got an email from another Academy Xi 'expert' (read: person who failed in industry being a PM so now somehow teaches people how to be a PM) asking me to schedule time with him if I need help with the course. This is now two months after my course access expired. I explained the entire situation with him and said I was available to take a call to provide feedback over the phone or Zoom if requested, and got ghosted by this 'expert'.
It's now May 2023. Another 'expert' has emailed me asking the exact same thing, and finally with feedback for the first two modules I managed to do. Almost a year after this all started.
Academy Xi only cares about a good sales experience to get you in the door, after that, they couldn't give a damn whether you succeed or not. Their courses are all public content and they provide zero support to their students.
Raised the bar on online courses
Raised the bar on online courses. I have done a few basic courses but not one this structured. The course content and structure is amazing. I can't believe how much I learnt in such a short time and how much I understand it. I did the Software Engineering Transform course and I am confident enough to now call myself a Full-Stack Developer.

In terms of preparing you for a job in the UX/UI space I'm not sure this course was worth the money to be honest... the content all made sense but it didn't provide much to take from the course and into a potential career path based on the content...

No good!
I enrolled for Digital Marketing immersive course mid year. Out of many students who enrolled only 5 of us continued and the rest pulled out (very sensible). There is just one weekly session and no other advise, feedback or support.They expect you to go online and finish the course material , you can access that easily anywhere. The live projects are strategies, so if you are working you would know, no hands on experience with any tools. All you do is a PPT on Canva.
The mentor is knowledgeable and experienced that's why i have given those three stars. Apart from that, you
are better off doing an online course from anywhere.
I went away almost after finishing the projects no one got back to me until I asked what needs to be done nor does anybody get in touch to assist you with finishing briefing on the loose ends. As long as the fees is paid , who cares!! No career support or certificate so far.

I really enjoyed the course, and I got a job in my desired field and loving it - just read the fine print of the agreement!

Great content, great mentor.
I think CX is one of those disciplines that is embraced by many but truly understood by a few. This course was so enlightening on how to take a practical, data-driven CX plan from research, through to strategy and roll-out. I now feel confident in my ability to apply the practical tools I learned through the course, to enact real change based around what the customer needs.
