I want to thank my instructor Wakeel Effendi, his been so helpful and patient through this whole journey. He has been so supportive. His local knowledge has helped me learn alot.

Acclaim driving cannot provide an adequate driving service in the South West. I lost six months because there was only one driving instructor south of Crawley and he was never available on my test dates. Now I am no longer a student, completing a test is going to become much harder thanks to Acclaim Driving.
To their credit their customer service is excellent, the driving instructor was very good during the lesson we had, and I was given a full refund without admin fees considering the circumstances. However I cannot recommend Acclaim Driving to anyone wishing to pass their test in the South West.

Sadiq was an amazing driving instructor and took his time teaching me manoeuvres and good driving habits. I was able to pass my test in amazing time!

Rich was my daughter’s instructor and we couldn’t have asked for a better teacher. He was really patient, gave clear instructions and suggestions on what to practice, helping her overcome her nerves to achieve a first time pass.

We would recommend Rich without hesitation.

Excellent experience learning with Andy Holmes in his Ford Fiesta. He has just the right teaching style, the right buildup of difficulty, and knows which aspects need insisting on and which roads in the area are best for practice at each stage.

My instructor, Paula Pollard gave me a really lovely experience. She was very patient with me, always asked me what I wanted to improve on, suggested anything she felt I needed and explained very clearly any questions I had. She was just always happy to help me and gave me a lot of confidence. It was very enjoyable learning with her. Thank you for everything once again Paula 😊

Dont go with them. I invested in loads of lessons and cancelled just 2 weeks before my test because I did not book any lessons recently when the instructor told me I was "test ready".

They called me on my office hours and did not send any text or emails.

My instructor Nichola was great! She gave me so much confidence when I was really struggling and tailored her teaching to my needs. As a neurodivergent person, I was worried I wouldn’t do well, but she was so patient and informative that I had nothing to worry about. All very smooth payment and booking wise and passed first time!! Thank you Nichola and Acclaim :))

When looking for a driving instructor, these are the qualities that matter most:

Knowledge and expertise.
Attention and focus throughout every lesson.
The ability to identify your weaknesses and provide practical solutions and clear reference points to help you improve.
Reliability and trustworthiness.
Most importantly, the people skills to keep you calm, confident, and in a positive mindset both before and during your driving test.

Habtom excels in every one of these areas, and I can't thank him enough.

After failing my first driving test with a previous instructor, I was anxious about finding someone new. However, from the very first phone conversation with Habtom—when we were simply arranging and rescheduling our first lesson—I could tell he was a genuine people person. He was relatable, approachable, and down to earth, which immediately put me at ease.

After just the first lesson, I couldn't believe the difference in the quality of instruction. Habtom quickly identified the areas I needed to work on and explained everything in a way that made sense. Rather than just pointing out mistakes, he gave me practical techniques and clear reference points that I could apply straight away, which made a huge difference to my confidence and driving.

Throughout every lesson, he was fully engaged, patient, and genuinely invested in helping me succeed. He never made me feel rushed or discouraged, and he always knew exactly how to keep me focused while building my confidence.

By the time my test came around, I felt calm, prepared, and believed I could pass—something I didn't feel after my previous experience. That positive mindset was largely thanks to Habtom's encouragement and the confidence he helped me build.

If you're looking for an instructor who is knowledgeable, dependable, and genuinely cares about your success, I couldn't recommend Habtom more highly.

I passed first time after being with Brian Torbitt. Brian was an amazing instructor and was very welcoming, it was easy to feel comfortable around him. Brian gave clear instructions and made driving feel as easy as it could, would definitely recommend him!

I had a brilliant experience with acclaim and learning with my instructor Anselm! I’ve been struggling for a couple of years with my confidence whilst driving and had a run of failed tests. Learning with Anselm was exactly what I needed as his firm but encouraging teaching methods helped me overcome my nerves and build up my confidence with each lesson. I finally passed with only 4 driver faults today. Thank you again! ❤️

My instructor was very knowledgeable and friendly throughout my driving test journey. Highly recommend him for anyone driving an automatic car.

I cannot recommend Seife Gebretatious highly enough! Learning to drive a manual car felt daunting at first, but Seife was incredibly patient and professional throughout the entire journey. What I appreciated most was how he took the time to truly help me understand what I needed to improve on and gave me exact, clear steps on how to correct it. Thanks to his fantastic coaching and constructive feedback, I built the confidence I needed and passed my test in Hinckley! If you want an instructor who genuinely cares about making you a safe, skilled driver, go with Seife.

I had Guy Mcmillan as my instructor and he was so friendly and clear with his instructions. We had regular chats and he would look for the best out of you. I would totally recommend him and Acclaim as they are very easy to deal with

ADAM in Kia CEED—- he is the instructor you want. I had one month till my test and had to change instructors. This man re-taught me everything you need to know all down to the smalls things. And THANKFULLY to his blessed teachings I passed. He will teach you without sugar coating it with and use his wisdom to help his students pass. Pls Adam is the instructor you want teaching you or your children. :) Thank You!!!! -

Overall, ACCLAIM, is probably the cheaper driving agencies for burbage with 2 hour lessons which is necessary. Overall their system is easy to navigate, paying for lessons is easy, and their customer service is great tbh, when I needed them I never had to wait long. Also, booking the lessons is really easy too, so definitely recommend.

Mr. Nice Guy is amazing! He doesn’t just teach you how to drive—he also gives great life advice and helps you build confidence. Every lesson is fun, relaxed, and full of laughs, so you actually look forward to learning. I’d definitely recommend him to anyone looking for a driving instructor.

I passed my test after having lessons with Graeme in Belfast. He was so patient answering any questions I had and explaining everything as often as I needed. I had previously tried lessons 7 years ago and failed the test. With the help and encouragement from Graeme I built confidence and am so excited to have my driving license. Can’t thank Graeme enough!

Absolutely incredible after 20 years off the road!
I already had my driving license but hadn't driven in 20 years and completely lost my confidence. I booked refresher lessons through Acclaim and was paired with Sadiq Ladha, who was absolutely amazing. He was incredibly patient, deeply understanding, and never made me feel silly for being anxious after such a long break. He tailored our lessons perfectly to rebuild my skills and confidence at my own pace. Thanks to his supportive and helpful approach, I am finally back behind the wheel and feeling confident. I highly recommend both Acclaim and Sadiq to anyone needing a refresher!
