Richard was incredibly helpful and pleasant to deal with. No-one wants to find themselves in the position of having to claim but accidents do happen and Admiral Marine's handling of the matter made the whole process as efficient and painless as possible. I would have no hesitation in recommending them to other boat owners and certainly intend to stay with them myself.

Getting a quote was easy on line and even easier to talk to an advisor to set up the policy. The cost of the policy was also very competitive compared to my renewal quote even though I had no claims.

Admiral insured our boat for a long cruise across the Atlantic and through the Caribbean. They were always easy to deal with and very friendly. We did suffer some damage which required repair in the US. Admiral were extremely cooperative and paid the full claim with no quibbles. It was great to deal with Cristelle and Richard. We are, of course, still insured with them!

Very good, helpful and contactable. Boat claims can be complex and painful, so legal expenses is a must and looking after your boat essential. So renew those dock lines and you can never have enough fenders!

We have had insurance through Admiral for the last five years. They have always been very helpful and efficient providing good advice. Fortunately we have not needed to make any claims. Their premiums have been very competitive and level of cover is great.

Excellent all round.
We had some repairs that needed doing and ended up in a boatyard that then went bust! We appreciated always dealing with the same person who knew our problem and who was knowledgeable and supportive. Despite our problems the premium was also unchanged and better than the competitors.

This review is not based on a recent claim against Admiral experience but is a review based on Admiral's reaction to a near sinking experience with another insurer prior to changing boat and trying to obtain insurance for the new boat.
With such a recent background there were bound to be questions however the answers were always taken as matter of fact and with patience as some answers were unknown as the purchase was protracted. Immediately on completion, the insurance was enacted the same day some half hour after my phone call to enact.
I would suggest that whether your circumstances are 'normal' or exceptional you could do a lot worse than contacting Admiral Marine Insurance.

Excellent service after a serious flooding incident in the Great Barrier Reef in 2023, sailing with the World ARC.

Over the next 14 weeks of boat repair, Admiral in general, and Richard C in particular, were very responsive and settled all the claims promptly.

I have no hesitation in recommending Admiral to all my sailing friends.
