This was a very interesting and fun trip. The group was diverse and fun. Anna, the tour leader was amazing and very accommodating to everyone’s needs.
The only part I would change is the more than 6 hours 4x4 drive. That was painfully long and uncomfortable. I don’t think it is described well. Also, the last night at the Yurk eas way too hot. (95)

I've always wanted to visit the 5 "stans" but because of the logistics and language barrier, it's been inaccessible to me until I participated in the amazing 16 day tour arranged by Adventure Bound. The experience provided a good mix of culture, nature, and history - we trekked the canyons of Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan, visited the great bazaars and markets of Tajikistan and Uzbekistan, and explored the old cities (Bukhara, Samarkand, Kiva) as well as more modern cities like Taskent, Ashgabat, and Almaty. Our tour leader was organized, kept us safe, and informed and her joy and enthusiasm for travel was contagious and inspiring. In each country/city we met a local tour guide who was an expert in the region and was able to help us interact with the local community and answer our questions. I highly recommend this tour from Adventure Bound and I will definitely be working with them in the future for my next group tour experience.

Our tour leader Anna was exceptionally patient and empathetic all the way. She spoke multiple languages which made traversing the 5 Stans seamless. Most of our guides spoke good English and were fun. We packed a lot in the short tour and our hotels were comfortable and spacious. Tours were well organised and individual needs were met.
I will not hesitate to choose adventure bound again. Thank you for the experience

Adventure Bound – Five Stans (18 Days) Review

I had a fantastic experience on the 18-day Five Stans tour with Adventure Bound. The itinerary offered a great mix of culture, history, local traditions, and breathtaking natural landscapes across Central Asia. June can be challenging due to the hot weather and long travel days, which may feel overwhelming at times, but the experiences and destinations make it all worthwhile.

A special mention goes to our tour leader, Anna, who truly went above and beyond throughout the journey. She was incredibly caring, attentive, and always ensured the comfort and safety of everyone in the group. From handling logistics seamlessly to making border crossings smooth and stress-free, her dedication and professionalism greatly enhanced the overall experience.

I would also like to acknowledge all the local guides we had across the different countries and regions. They were exceptionally knowledgeable, passionate, and eager to share insights into the history, culture, and daily life of their respective areas. Their expertise added tremendous value to the tour and helped bring each destination to life.

Overall, this was an unforgettable journey filled with incredible cultural experiences, stunning scenery, and wonderful people. I would highly recommend this tour to anyone looking to explore the fascinating Five Stans region.

This was a very well organised tour visiting 5 different countries linked to the Silk Road in 16 days experiencing the history culture and folklore of the area , the varied dramatic mountain and desert scenery and World Heritage sites situated within the 5 Stans.The joining instructions were clear and comprehensive ,airport transfers and border crossings ran smoothly and the daily briefings carefully compiled by the tour leader meant that the tour ran punctually and according to plan.That such a challenging and demanding itinerary was met in full with all advertised activites and sightseeing visits completed was a tribute to the planning and resesrch of the tour route combined with the knowledge enthusianism and communication skills of the tour leader.Pleasingly the hotel accomodation which included one 5 Star hotel and food were of a consistently high standard and exceeded my expectstions.The tour was good value for money.This was my first time using the services of Adventure Bound.It is a well organised and professionally run company which I would use again and reccomend to others.

I've just completed the Adventure Bound, 5 Stan, 16 day tour and absolutely loved it.
I'll start by saying I usually travel independently and was unsure how I would like being on a tour; but I'm so glad I choose the tour.
In 16 days we saw so many sights, had many unique experiences, were guided through border crossings, provided with historical information, and given an insight into the culture of each country. The itinerary is fast paced, but it means you get to see and experience so much - by the end of the tour I felt I had learned a lot (and had lots of fun).
Our tour guide (Anna) was with us from the moment we arrived (Day 1) until we departed on day 16. Anna was amazing, she organised everything, kept us informed about everything, supported us, made us laugh, and helped to make it an incredible trip.
We also had different local guides and drivers for each country. The guides were warm and eager to share their knowledge - the drivers happy and smiling while loading our suitcases on and off the bus each day, and getting us to all the sights/accommodations.
The hotel accommodations exceeded my expectations, they were in good locations, were clean, very comfortable and provided a great breakfast. The meals provided as part of the tour were excellent - nice restaurants serving nice local food. For the meals we had to choose and pay for we had Anna and our local guide to help guide us - it made it so easy. They also helped us with advice on changing money, buying stuff and anything they could help with to ensure we enjoyed the trip.
I might also add I felt completely safe and comfortable touring the Stans, the people I meet were warm and friendly.
Finally, my advice if going to the Stans is take $US (they are easy to exchange) a Visa card (my Mastercard wasn't always excepted), a tour with Anna as the leader, and a sense of Adventure.

My husband & I just completed the 16-day Adventure Bound 5 Stans Tour and it certainly exceeded expectations in many ways.
Our tour leader Anna was exceptional - a great communicator, organised, knowledgeable, fun and resourceful when unexpected situations arose. Most of the local guides were also good, some more experienced and easier to understand than others.
The group size and mix was good. The standard of accommodation was actually better than we were expecting, as was the food.
Covering 5 countries in such a short time frame did mean that there were several very long, tiring days. But it was worth it to experience a good mix of what these diverse and fascinating destinations have to offer.

This is the shortest of the 5 Stans tours (16days) and it packed in everything you could wish for! The trip surpassed my expectations at all levels and was very well organised with great accommodation & transfers all the way around. Our tour leader, Anna, was exceptional and managed all our needs across the group.
I’d recommend Adventure Bound and will certainly use them again.

The 16 day 'Ultimate Five Stans' tour, lead by Anna was truly a memorable experience for all of the right reasons.

Probably the best Tour Guide / Coordinator that I have ever experienced. Friendly, accommodating, very knowledgeable and great company.

The areas visited across Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan and Turkmenistan were varied, well paced, stunning in many respects and exceeded my expectations.

I undertook a 16 day tour covering the 5 Stans. Initial communication was very good though one voucher for a flight was deliberately not sent which was frustrating. When the tour started I was alarmed when our bus in Kazakstan on Day 2 did not have enough seats so the local guide or the tour leader had to stand for a 3 hour drive to the border crossing. In addition the suitcases were piled across the back and would have hit many in the head if the bus had to brake suddenly. The company knew about this, having had it bought to their attention the day before - and chose to ignore it. This doesn't say much for its interest in safety. Things improved after that as we had larger buses from Day 3 onwards. The tour itself was very well organized - although the booking of seats in sleeper cabins on the Bukhara- Khiva train was very poor as several women on the tour found they had been allocated a berth with men who were not on the tour - this required a lot of resolving by our tour leader. The accomodation was consistently very good. The pace of the tour was intense - there was so much to see. Multiple 9-12 hour days was exhausting, especially as it was rare to stay more than one night in any place. There was limited time therefore to explore or just sit. This however was the reality of a shorter tour. The best positive was the tour guide Anna who was outstanding in every aspect.

In summary the Stans were definitely worth seeing and this tour covers all 5 in a reasonable time frame. There many ‘very good’ things about the tour and the company but the two significant ‘bad’ ones mentioned above stayed with me hence the 4/5 stars.

Oman is an extraordinary country with a very differenciated and amazing landscapes : sands, rocks, canyon, oasis, see..and great culture and History. People are very welcoming and eager to please. We appreciated to feel completely safe with people avery respectful always, there is no aggressiveness, and everyone we met had a strong sense of service. Local food was very good, diversified and affordable. Our oman guide and driver were absolutely great. It's great experience thanks to Adventure Bound who organized this trip.

My recent trip to Caucasus with Adventure Bound was amazing. The tour leader Lyuben is always eager to solve doubts about the destination, currencies exchange , local life, going out tips, meals tips. I traveled comfortably in a van with panoramic windows, air conditioning. We covered main touristic attractions in each country we visited. We involved in local culture through meals, making bread, wine tasting, religion, etc.
We visited astounding landscapes and towns that look like a fairy tale. Every aspect involved on a trip was carefully managed. The booking process was so easy going, very kind staff, no doubts left.

It was very well organized. The tour was exactly what I wanted and it delivered 100%. The tour leader was very very good and accommodating and flexible as needed. He was also a great communicator which was important. I would definitely use this tour organization again .

As someone who loves traveling and tries to take at least two international trips every year, I’ve experienced many tours with well-known travel companies. Last year, while visiting an old friend in Malta, we started discussing Uzbekistan and Central Asia. To my surprise, they knew very little about this fascinating region. Since I had recently traveled there with Gate 1 Travel, I became interested in exploring even more of Central Asia.

While searching for new options, I came across Adventure Bound Travels. Their itinerary covered all 5 Stans at a surprisingly affordable price. Honestly, I had doubts at first because I was used to booking with larger, well-known travel companies and paying much higher prices. But over time, I realized that many big companies charge far more without necessarily offering a better experience.

From the beginning, my communication with Adventure Bound Travels through WhatsApp was professional, organized, and reassuring. Eventually, we booked the 5 Stans tour for five people. We still didn’t know exactly what to expect, especially knowing this region can be challenging, with rough terrain and services that may not always match Western standards.

However, by the end of the journey, I could confidently say it became one of the best trips of my life.

Our tour leader, Ivan, was energetic, professional, and incredibly capable. He knew how to manage the group smoothly, even in difficult or unexpected situations. One of the best parts of the tour was the small group size — only 15 people — which made the experience far more enjoyable and personal.

The accommodations were much better than expected, the itinerary was detailed and thoughtfully planned, and we explored far more places than I imagined possible in such a short time. The food was good, and although the pace was fast due to covering five countries, it was absolutely worth it.

This trip completely changed my perspective on travel companies. I’ve started losing interest in large commercial tour operators. They often have huge groups, distant hotels, high prices, and too much free time without meaningful exploration. In contrast, Adventure Bound delivered a far more authentic and well-organized experience.

Of course, no trip is perfect. Occasionally, some local guides were difficult to understand because of accents, transportation could feel tight in certain areas, and sometimes I wished we had more time at specific locations. But overall, these were very minor issues compared to the incredible experience we had.

I highly recommend Adventure Bound Travels to anyone interested in Central Asia and the 5 Stans. My friends from Malta were also extremely satisfied with both the service and the value for money. This journey created unforgettable memories and opened our eyes to one of the most underrated regions in the world.

I recently joined the Five Stans tour with Adventure Bound, travelling through Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, and Turkmenistan, and overall it was an excellent and very memorable experience.

This trip was very complex, crossing trough a lot of borders, but everything was well organized and gave us a rare opportunity to experience the culture, landscapes, history, and daily life of Central Asia in one journey.

I especially enjoyed the variety of the itinerary — from the mountains of Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan to the historic cities of Uzbekistan and the unique atmosphere of Turkmenistan. Each country had something different to offer, and the program gave a very good balance of sightseeing, cultural experiences, and time on the road to see the region properly.

The tour leader and local teams were helpful and did their best to make the journey smooth. The guides shared interesting information about their countries.

For me, the Five Stans tour was a fascinating and rewarding journey. I would recommend Adventure Bound to travelers who want to discover Central Asia in a well-structured and adventurous way.

We just finished traveling through the 5 Stans with adventure travel. It was a total disaster. The local guide in the first country (Kazakhstan) was bad-- really bad. The local guide in the second country (Kyrgyzstan) was even worse. In fact, this was the worst guide I have ever experienced. Terrible English. Unable to explain historical concepts. Quiet voice. It was so frustrating! We had this guide for 3 days! I kept expecting the tour leader to pull her out and get a new guide-- but he never did. He acted like everything was great. I finally had to write the company as we were driving to country #3 and complain. It was so frustrating having guides for 2 out of the 5 countries be so poor. I feel cheated out of amazing countries because the quality of the local guides were so poor. Even the tour leader admitted the local guide was terrible-- but he would not do anything about it. These are amazing countries-- but a local tour guide that speaks English is essential--
And these 2 were the worst I have ever experienced. The tour leader should have pulled them immediately- but he did not.
The communication during the tour was equally poor. We would not know what we were doing unto only a few minutes before. For example- He had a lady who raises horses in Kentucky. She loves them! We went to a horse riding center and had the opportunity to ride horses. The Kentucky tourist had only sandals because we were never informed we needed horse riding shoes. She was so disappointed! Events like this happened every single day!

In their packing list it t never mentioned swim suits-- and 3 of our cities had spa and swimming pools for our enjoyment. We had to purchase swimming suits at a local bizarre.

I would not recommend this company.

The price, itinerary, accommodations, van, guide and driver were all excellent. No one could have anticipated the few mosquitoes in my room one night. My only complaint 🤪. The tour exceeded my expectations as there were no surprises. It was a bit rushed at times but only because absolutely necessary to meet the goals of the day. The guide was exceptionally kind and thoughtful doing his best to make the trip comfortable and enjoyable . I am 82 years old and he offered at times to go out of his way to make things easier for me, and I greatly appreciated knowing this even though I fortunately never needed it. I did appreciate his jumping in to help with my luggage many times. The driver Niko was also kind and helpful in addition to being an amazing driver. He was always thoughtful in parking as close as possible. The van was kept pristine. Windows always washed so photos and sightseeing optimum. I highly recommend this company. I have traveled extensively and done most of the itinerary planning for my independent travels. I know it takes a great deal of work and research to pull off trips like this.
