Fabulous trip to Syria with Lupine Travel.
Although there are warnings from the FCO not to visit I must say I had a great time, I felt safe throughout the tour. Many locals would say us "Thank you for visiting Syria". I recommend this tour to all who enjoy travelling and exploring.
Must add special thank you to "Mohammed" our local guide/fixer. He made this tour quite special.

Good value for money, amazing tour itinerary, great quality food and accommodation included! I did the 5 stans tour and loved it. Could not recommend highly enough.

Great trip covering lots of Pakistan. Friendly locals, fantastic food & stunning scenery. Peter the tour leader was great. I would recommend doing both North & South trips as they are both very different.

Just completed back to back Pakistan with Lupine, all I can say is what a brilliant company from the initial booking to the flight home. Everything was perfect and faultless.

Great personalised service and excellent tour guides: one of the best “boutique” tour operators

The company offers a great variety of tours to some really interesting and less well known countries. As some of these are less well known it is reassuring to have the support and information they offer. Would very much recommend them

I recently joined Lupine Travel’s Djanet Extension tour in Algeria, and it was absolutely incredible from start to finish. The itinerary was fascinating — every day brought something new and awe-inspiring, from exploring the surreal rock formations of the Saharan desert to visiting ancient rock art sites and camping under a blanket of stars. It truly felt like stepping into another world.

A huge shoutout to our tour leader, Alex, who made the trip even more special. He was incredibly friendly, funny, and always went out of his way to help everyone in the group. His easygoing nature kept the atmosphere light and fun, while his organization and local knowledge made everything run smoothly. Whether it was sharing stories, coordinating logistics, or cracking jokes, Alex made the whole experience unforgettable.

Lupine Travel did a fantastic job putting this itinerary together — it’s the perfect blend of adventure, culture, and relaxation. If you’re looking for a truly unique destination and a tour company that knows how to make travel feel effortless and enjoyable, I couldn’t recommend Lupine (and Alex!) more highly.

Fantastic well organized tour of Venezuela seeing Caracas, Angel Falls, the Catatumbo lightening, Merida, Choroni and Chuao. Basically the Michael Palin Venezuela tour without a BBC crew in tow.

I went on the Federal Iraq tour in October. Everything about it was excellent: the pre-trip communication, the itinerary, the hotels, the transport, and the Lupine guide (Aron) and the local guide (Sardar). I have been on about 20 tours with Lupine, and I strongly recommend them.

Visiting special places such as the Yazidi site of Lalish, seeing the crowded and colourful bazars, the amazing landscapes... But, most of all, the amazing people of Kurdistan, that made a difference for sure. It was a chance to meet a very special people that is still too unknown to most of us.

This was our fourth lupine trip and it was amazing. From Baghdad we traveled across Iraq visiting such amazing sights as Babylon and Hatra before finishing in Erbil. Both Aron the tour leader and Sardur the local guide were great and the trip went very smoothly.

First time traveling with Lupine, and novice at world tours. I was a part of the Mongolia Adventure Tour, and we lived as nomads, learning and experiencing all the country and its beauty had to offer. From horseback riding to trekking in the mountains and celebrating the Altai-Sum Eagle Festival, at all times I felt safe and also exhilarated! The home team is friendly, professional, and creative. Our tour leader was smart and capable, and he went above and beyond, ensuring we had everything we needed, and giving a truly memorable trip. Our knowledgeable local guide gave us hospitality at every turn. I learned that an adventure depends on the quality of the group, and we all got on well, by no small part of Lupine setting the chemistry in motion. I asked for adventure, and Lupine delivered in the best way.

I travelled with Lupine on their extended 5 stans tour in July 2025 what an experience. The tour was incredible so much to see and take in . Paris our guide was FABULOUS well organised knowledgeable personable and a fellow Australian. The group was amazing I rate Lipine highly and look forward to travelling with them again (April 2026)

The tour was short and well-paced with 2 nights in each city and a decent amount of free time. The parade day in Tiraspol was by far the best day with follow up celebrations and festivities. The hotel in Tiraspol was great, maybe the best I've had on Lupine tours in terms of quality and location. Everyone in the group was kind and respectful.
The guides were all excellent - especially the ones in Chisinau. Tour Leader Zoltan was perhaps the best tour leader I've had on a Lupine Tour. Very easygoing yet prepared. Thorough in his notes and communication. You can tell he loves this. Hope to see him again on another tour.

The trip to the the Three Guianas was my seventh with Lupine and it was absolutely awesome. A stay at a river lodge, eating warm pancakes while sitting in rapids on the Suriname River, hunting caimens by night, a visit to a stunning waterfall and a space port, this trip has it all. Plus plenty of relaxation time.

I joined Lupine Travel’s Extended 5 Stans Tour in July 2025 as a neurodivergent woman of colour. From the outset, I experienced exclusionary behaviour from two group members. When I raised these concerns — describing behaviour I believed to be racially discriminatory — with Lupine’s tour leader, I expected them to be handled sensitively and in line with safeguarding and anti-discrimination principles/processes. I made this disclosure while in a very fragile mental health state.

Instead, the tour leader arranged a hostile, aggressive confrontation with the very people I had complained about — without my consent or any prior notice — and then engaged in verbally aggressive conduct towards me herself.

I was left unsafe, isolated and traumatised in a foreign country with no access to support. The psychological impact was so severe that I had to curtail my trip early on medical advice.

Since then, Lupine has refused to answer basic questions about their safeguarding, complaints, and anti-discrimination processes. Their so-called “investigation” has repeatedly required me to relive these events, placing the onus entirely on me to “prove” discrimination while ignoring the conduct of their representative — conduct that directly caused my early departure and ongoing distress.

For travellers — especially people of colour, neurodivergent individuals or anyone expecting a safe and inclusive environment — my experience shows that Lupine Travel is not equipped to handle discrimination complaints safely, fairly or appropriately.

Five Stans: Crossing five borders, transitioning to different climates from deserts to lakes to mountains to snow, experiencing five different political responses to the breakup of the Soviet Union, savoring varied cuisines and paying extra to include horse sausage whenever possible, hanging out with a bunch of people I would later be happy to call my friends, and using multiple modes of travel to go well over 1,500 miles. Through it all, Lupine tour leader Paris Hailwood made the Five Stans an unforgettable adventure.

Behind the scenes, I know that Paris quietly worked like crazy to ensure that everything would be seamless for us. With her boundless energy and optimism, along with her in-depth knowledgeable and patient guidance, Paris made the trip super amazing.

I would follow Paris anywhere. Just get me my passport, an iPhone charger, a flight with an aisle seat, and I will be there!
