They stated they were denying my return and shipping my items back. I have a feeling like they purposely deny returns. After the LARGE amounts of money I have spent in that store for my daughter, I will never purchase from Aerie or American Eagle again.

A.E. dropped the ball on an order which was close to $200. I wouldn't recommend anyone to shop here due to poor customer service and poor customer appreciation. After all the insult, I get a email saying to give them another try, HA! I spent my money with another company who knows how to treat people. You'll NEVER get my business again!

The worst service from purchase to customer service
The first time I shopped at this store was at a location in the Tampa Mall. The experience was HORRID. I bought items with a 35% discount, and when I went to the register to pay, the cashier was charging me for everything at full price. When I asked if those items were discounted, she said, "THEY'RE NOT DISCOUNTED." I spent over $350 on just a few things. I was sure I had seen signs advertising those items with a 35% discount. When I downloaded the app, I realized I was right. The cashier simply wanted her profit at all costs. After that experience, I started shopping only online, but almost ALWAYS, they send everything separately from one purchase. It's ridiculous. Why do they do that? Every time I contact customer service, they are completely useless. I'm tired of this store's unprofessional behavior.

Same experience as another reviewer, absolutely archaic customer service, they wont return money for bras that are too big and are SHIPPING them back to me and taking refund back, I haven never had anything like this happen and in 2025 can say I havent seen customer service like this in 20 years. Order cancelled with no explanation
I bought an e-gift card and ultimately the order was cancelled with very little explanation. I chatted with customer service who told me that the order was cancelled because I didnât provide a shipping address. I explained it was an e-gift so a shipping address was needed and I wasnât asked for one. At that point she had no idea why it was cancelled albeit would escalate it âdue to the nature of the issueâ. The whole interaction was silly and disappointing. Customer service should be able to determine why an order was cancelled and/or if there is an issue with my account

The worst retail experience Iâve ever had. Iâm out £10 and never even received my actual order. They sent me someoneâs else order including CONFIDENTIAL info about the other customer, and when I asked them to just send me the pants I ordered and Iâd send the wrong ones back, they refused and said the only thing they could do is process a refund and have me place another order. The pants I had ordered originally were now out of stock by this point, and they still wouldnât do anything to help me. And instead of refunding the full amount I paid plus the shipping for pants I never even received, they gave me a free shipping code to order with, and only gave me back the cost of the jeans and not the shipping. Iâm so disappointed. Worst customer service ever. I will not be ordering from the UK American Eagle ever again.

Iâm disappointed with how my return has been handled. According to American Eagleâs stated return policy, âA full refund to the original form of payment will be issued within 5â7 days after we receive your return.â The timeline for processing has already passed. You received my return, but still have yet to process it, so the refund has yet to be issued. Iâm asking American Eagle to honor its publicly advertised return and refund policies. I was told someone would look into this within 24-72 hours but no one did, so Iâm taking it into my own hands. This is frustrating. I donât recommend this place anymore. Iâm constantly going back and forth with someone to âhelp meâ and âget back to meâ, but no one helps me or gets back to my emails!!!
Terrible customer service
Don't waste your time on this brand. I made an order including some pairs of leggings and a couple of bras and upon receiving it, I immediately noticed that one of the pair of leggings was used. It was stained, the inside label was cut off and only had one of the two outer labels (the ones usually stitched to the garment with size and model name) compared to the other pair I got. I contacted their Europe customer service right away sharing images and got a response fairly quickly, where they apologised and asked me to send over even more pictures, so that they could "share it with their warehouse operations in order to prevent this from happening again in the future". I happily obliged and they disappeared and closed my complaint ticket. I tried contacting them again and again and funnily enough, they would always respond when I made a new complaint, and say they had not received my extra photos and could I please share them, but never actually receive the photos and offer a resolution. Funny how they were receiving some emails from me but not others. Mind you - I started including ALL the photos they requested in my new complaints and they just disappeared. I gave up after about two weeks of this back and forth, but this is probably the worst customer service experience I've ever had when buying items online. I also want to point out that the actual quality of the leggings I purchased (which they sell at full price for over $60) is laughable. They are so so thin, I got a black pair (the one that was at the center of my complaint) which is passable because of the dark color, and a hot pink one that I cannot wear anywhere because they are so thin and so transparent, even with nude underwear underneath you can see through so I absolutely cannot wear them to go to the gym or to do yoga or to leave the house at all, really. What a waste of money! The only silver lining is that I also purchased a wireless bra which is actually super comfortable and supportive, so there's that. Stay away from this brand, especially if you're based in Europe because their customer service is really bad and the quality of the items overall NOT worth the price.
SCAM & LIERS
They are running a SCAM. I returned my items to them on 7th March and till date they have not refunded me. The customer care service is absolutely shit and are lying in every email.
My bill total is for GP 116 but the refund amount is 92 GBP.

My friend went I went into Aerie to just look around and when I went to the dressing room to go try some items on my friend was waiting on me and one of your store associateâs walked up to her and said do you need a dressing room meanwhile she said no Iâm just waiting on my friend which was me and then the girl said to my friend you wouldnât fit into any of our clothes anywayâŠ.. like what kind of customer service is this sounds like we just hiring people just to hire! People have no common courtesy whatsoever and I would like to talk with a manager or have a reply because this is unacceptable and if this does not get taken care of I will call corporate!
Bad associates in good stores
I had some clothes that were gifted to me that didnât fit or that I would have never worn. I returned the items for store merchandise credit due to them being gifts I was fine and prepared for that. I was issued the merchandise credit card and within 10 mins or less of the card being activated I had dropped it somewhere in the store. There was a certain associate that kept watching me. I immediately went to the lady who issued the gift card and asked her if she could deactivate the card and issue another one she called a manager over. The lady said sure thereâs no problem with that. We know she didnât leave the store so if we find it weâll just throw it away. Immediately the lady who had been watching me the entire time Iâd been in the store approached the desk and said no, no we canât do that. I felt like maybe she saw me drop the card, something and had plans to use my card but I immediately called corporate and the next am they had mysteriously found my card hmmmmâŠI donât believe in coincidences. Only incidences. This associate should be fired in my opinion because originally when I told her that Iâd lost the cards she stated that she could help me look for it. Well immediately she broke off from me instead of helping me look for it. She went elsewhere, so she seemed very unconcern about where my card was or if even I found the card but sure as they was gonna issue me another one she had to jump in, so in my opinion, she was doing something grimy and again this is just my opinion, but something needs to be done about that employee because if sheâs gonna steal from customersthen whoâs to say sheâs not stealing from the store
