Highly recommend using this agency to help book your Botswana 4x4 journey! We spent two weeks camping at most of the national parks, it was an amazing experience! Andy will sort you out with a detailed travel plan with tips/tricks and what to do! We will do this again

Truly a trip of a lifetime! Phil at Drive Botswana was excellent at helping us plan the trip around the dates we had. We had a wedding in Namibia at the end of the trip so he curated a perfect itinerary for our 9 days in Namibia which ended with our friends wedding.

Phil also gave lots of options for a special night during our stay as a gift for my partner, I ended up choosing the dream cruiser at Onguma Lodge which was a truly unforgettable experience.

The directions were superb, although we had a GPS with the car it was still nice to reference the directions that Drive Botswana had provided to ensure that we were going on their recommended route rather than an unsuitable route.

This was our first safari experience and as a younger couple were slightly nervous about the trip prior to going but Phil made the whole trip so seamless.

Namibia is a beautiful country, with the friendliest people in - highly recommend anyone who is thinking about going to book through Drive Botswana!

Drive Botswana helped us to make our trip to Namibia/Botswana/Zimbabwe unforgettable. During the preparation the response was always extremely fast and precise. They made the planning of the trip very easy and uncomplicated, as they took care of all communication in Africa. The entire trip went perfectly smooth and without any issues. We had done a self drive safari 5 years ago which we planned ourselves, which entailed a huge amount of work. This time we were so lucky to discover Drivebotswana who with a little consultation devised a superb 3 week self drive safari with a fully equipped Toyota Hilux starting in Johannesburg and ending in Kasane, Botswana, taking in Namibia from Fish River Canyon to Caprivi. Into Botswana to Okavango and Chobe. And wonderful places in between. All campsites and lodges pre-booked.

DriveBotswana understood from the start exactly what we wanted and put together a programme that was ideal for us. Communication was prompt, detailed and accurate. Instructions for the whole trip were very comprehensive and everything went to plan. We have no hesitation in recommending them to anyone who wants to drive around Botswana and see this beautiful country and its wildlife. There is no doubt we would not have had as good a trip if we had planned it ourselves (as we usually do) and would certainly not have been so confident in our travels.

We had a wonderful time in Namibia. The travel agency's documentation was very clear, everything went smoothly and we enjoyed an unforgettable time in the many different lodges.

Our trip of 3 weeks self drive circling Namibia taking in all the major sights except the Caprivi Strait, was organised by Drive Botswana. We were provided with a fairly new 4x4 vehicle fully equipped for self sufficient camping. The whole adventure was organised well by Drive Botswana with all camp sites and lodges booked. It all went without a hitch. Driving distances are long but enjoyable soaking up the variety of scenery. Very good route directions were given and with good road signage navigation was easy. I warmly recommend Drive Botswana to you, they use their experience and knowledge to provide worry free arrangements for a trip that won’t disappoint.

What an adventure! We are still in awe of what we experienced and saw on our two week self-drive camping holiday organised by Drive Botswana. The itinerary devised by Andy gave us a fantastic taste of what Botswana has to offer. I would not hesitate to recommend Drive Botswana. Andy is very professional and personable. The itinerary planned for us felt personalised and everything went smoothly. Andy is knowledgeable about Botswana and gave excellent tips and recommendations. He was quick to reply to any queries we had. When our luggage unfortunately got left behind in the UK, he went out of his way to help reunite us with it! The vehicle, campsites and activities booked for us were all brilliant. We will be booking with Drive Botswana again!

Andy from Drive Botswana organiced our trip through Namibia in a 4 wheel drive combining camping with lodges. He did a fantastic job. He was very patient with all our changes and made good suggestions for our itinerary. We are looking forward to travel again with them probably this time in Botswana.

If you look for a really genuine experience in Botwana, check with Drive Botwana. In the summer of 2023 we did a selfdrive with Drive Botwana with our family. We enjoyed it very much. The staff was ever so helpful and we really had a once in a lifetime holiday!

Phil from Drive Botswana helped us plan a fantastic self-driving trip to Botswana, including car rental, accommodation and activities. We had a great mix of camping and lodges, and are extremely happy with how everything was planned and how well it all worked, from every booking to pick-up times for activities. The planning stage was very flexible, and Phil came up with great recommendations after having heard our thoughts. The response time from him was also excellent, no matter at what time I wrote him an email, I received a reply right away- impressive!
Initially, I was planning on organizing our trip myself, but I'm very happy we went with Drive Botswana, as they have so much knowledge, and good connections, and can organize an itinerary exactly according to your wishes. I can only recommend them!!

The itinerary that Phil put together for the 19-day trip through Botswana, starting in Johannesburg, was a just fantastic. Phil was extremely helpful throughout the whole process of planning and altering camps and including extras. The extra nights in the Central Kalahari, for example, were unforgettable as well as the helicopter flight over the Okavango Delta.
We also had just the right mixture of camping and a lodge every now and then. Especially during the two days at Sango Safari Camp in the Khwai region the expert guide made sure, that we saw all the wildlife that we Europeans would have easily missed during the self-drive stretches.
The directions and GPS coordinates as well as the detailed decsriptions helped enormously to get from A to B safely.
We gladly recommend Drive Botswana, because you can tell that their heart is in it and because we made incredible memories trusting their expertise.

We just returned from an absolutely amazing 16 day self drive trip to Botswana planned for us by Drive Botswana. Our expectations were exceeded on all fronts and we were totally wowed by the diversity and proximity of wildlife.

Drive Botswana did a wonderful job planning the trip for us, being always available for questions and providing support when needed. The information provided in advance of the trip were super helpful and the driving instructions on point. Accommodation was carefully selected and every stop on our itinerary offered something new and unique.

Simply a brilliant experience!

Everything went perfect! We planned our trip through Namibia and Botswana with Drive Botswana. We were able to ask all our questions and got a very detailed handbook in advance. In Namibia we did a self-drive tour and in Botswana we did a semi-participatory guided tour with Busways. Phil answered all of our questions very quickly and made us feel very comfortable. Drive Botswana booked all our accommodations in advance and they were all perfect. It was our first time in Africa and we really recommend booking it with Drive Botswana. We still cannot believe all the wildlife we were able to see, it was unbelievable and an amazing experience. Thank you!

We had a really amazing trip.
We loved selfdriving safari. Of course we liked the wildlife seeing, we were lucky to spot lions at Savuti and a leopard in Moremi's. Besides that we saw a lot of other wildlife elephants, giraffes, zebra's, hippo's, crocodiles and antelopes.
Some places where we stayed in the middle of the parks were really amazing, personally i liked Nxai Pan and Nogatsaa the most, because we were almost the only one there (except from a lot of elephants that crossed our campsite at only a few meters). . The rivercruise at Chobes river was also really nice with a lot of wildlife seeing.

The alternation of a bed and a warm shower in a lodge after a week of camping was nice.

We really appreciated how well everything was organized. We always got all the right information, when we had an appointment people were always there, and we where always expected at places where we arrived.

Everything you could wish from a travel agency and even more:
- organization of the perfect trip
- constant presence even remotely thanks to an efficient email exchange
- punctuality and accuracy in the answers
- courtesy and helpfulness of the staff not only in organizing the trip but also in answering any questions, doubts, insights
- precision in the details provided (maps and directions, necessary travel documents, suggestions for a trip with children, etc.)
- ability to respect the required spending budget.
If we will rearrange another trip to Africa or someone will ask us for suggestions, we would have no hesitation in repeating and/or recommending the magnificent experience with Drive Botswana!!!

Our 6x week safari through Botswana, Zambia and Zimbabwe, organised through Phil at Drive Botswana was superb. We were sent very comprehensive plans of routes with all contact details, GPS coordinates, details of road conditions, and when/where to stock up on provisions for days with no available facilities. Any minor issues were promptly dealt with. Vehicles hired through Bushlore who were equally professional and helpful. Superb trip through beautiful countries.
